Adventure with Journey

Hello everyone,

Denise here with another layout using the lovely Journey collection.img_0766-r-b

I decided to use navy and yellow/gold  colour ways on this layout .

First of all I took the Daffodil Kaisercard and used it as the base of my page. Next up I took a sheet of the script side of Globe Trotter paper, cut it down on two sides by one cm then spritzed and flicked with White and Gold Kaisermist.

I then took a sheet of Adventurer paper and using the yellow side cut a strip measuring 12 inches long x 8 inches wide. I then pierced down either side and stitched with navy thread.

IMG_0739

Once this was on the base paper, I matted my photo on to some papers from the  Paper Pad and edged with a shaped border edge from the pad.

IMG_0766-R

Once my photo was in place I then embellished around the layout using lots of elements from the Sticker Book . There are so many  different elements in these sticker books that I have mainly used only items from there to embellish my layout. I used the word ‘Adventure’ as my title then clustered some stickers down in the left corner, I also used a butterfly sticker I had in my stash from Kaisercraft. Most of these I stuck in to card or paper first then cut round them in order to layer them up on Foam Tape.

I did a final spray of White Kaisermist to finish off, then added a couple of the lovely Curios.

Thank you for popping by and happy crafting !

Abu Dhabi with Journey

Hi everyone,

Denise here with you today with my first layout using the new Journey Kaisercraft collection

IMG_0567 R S-B

I used quite a few of the little Wood Flourishes in this collection. These are really versatile little embellishments. I chose to paint mine so firstly I painted them with some White Gesso.

Flourish Pack - Journey Collection

IMG_0468

Once this had dried I painted them with some Gold Paint

IMG_0479

IMG_0476

To start the layout I took a sheet of Chestnut Weave Kaisercard.

Next I used a sheet of Vagabond paper which I cut down to 11.5 inches square

Then I stencilled onto this with some Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink through the Direction 6×6 designer stencil.

IMG_0477

I cut some varying sized rectangles from the mosaic side of the Traveller paper  then placed them in an L shape on the right hand side of the layout.

I also used some papers from the  Paper Pad to mat my photo over these rectangles.

As some of the wood flourishes seemed to get a bit lost in the background, I backed a couple of them with some black card just to make them show up a bit more.

IMG_0567

I added these on to the layout then embellished lots more with some of the die cuts from the Collectables Pack and to finish off I did some splats with some gold paint

Moment by Moment with Antiquities

Hello everyone,

Denise here today with my final layout using the gorgeous Antiquities collection.

IMG_E0017-RB

I’ve used the blue and mustard tones again with this layout as I love the combination of the two together.

To start with I used a sheet of the mustard side of Antique paper.

Antique - Antiquities Collection

I then used a punch down each side of the blue side of Heirloom paper.

After this, I drew a heart in the middle of the blue paper, then cut it out.  I embossed the heart shape  with  Distressed Dots Embossing Folder then went over it with Saffron Ink pad to show the dots more.

I had to cut the heart in half lengthwise in order to emboss it but I managed to hide the join with some embellishments !

IMG_0004

To add some colour and texture I pierced down the left and right sides of the paper then cross stitched with some mustard thread.

IMG_0007

I used one of my diamond stencils  with some Saffron Ink as I felt it echoed the diamonds  on the patterned side of Antique paper which I had fussy cut out to use on my layout.

Once this was done, I placed the heart in the middle of the yellow base paper and made sure it fitted inside the blue paper i’d cut it from. Once happy, I stuck them all down.

IMG_0002

The next thing I did was to mat my 4×6 photo on to some paper from the Paper Pad and add to the layout.

I arranged the diamonds I had fussy cut from another sheet of Heirloom paper around my photo and across the layout and used Collectables to embellish and as a title, some were raised up on foam tape and some flat.

Finally I doodled around the edge of the heart with a Gel Pen

I hope you like the layout and feel inspired to have a play !

Happy Crafting

Blessed with Authentique

Hello everyone, Denise here with my second layout using the Antiquities collection.

IMG_9819-R-2

I’ve used the collection for a male themed photo this time, and concentrated on the blue hues and mainly used the Sticker Book and Paper Pad.

Firstly I stencilled through the Distressed Dots designer stencil with texture paste on to the Damask patterned side of the Valuable paper.

Distressed Dots 6x6 Designer Stencil

I took some Gold and Turqouise Kaisermisits and using the packaging technique, smooshed some colour over the page.

IMG_9793

IMG_9802

Once this had dried, I cut down two opposite sides by half an inch, then adhered this to a sheet of the blue side of One Of a Kind paper which I had gutted so I could make the most use of the paper!IMG_9794IMG_9795

I matted my photo on to two papers from the Paper Pad and placed at the bottom right of the layout.

Next I used the Sea Urchin decorative die to cut some circles from papers in the paper pad, these were tucked under my photo and placed at the top left of the layout.IMG_9792IMG_9800I also used some of the flowers and words from the Sticker Book and  die cuts from the Collectables  to embellish and use as a title.IMG_9801Thank you for visiting and happy crafting !

Memories with Antiquities

Hi everyone, Denise here with my first layout using the Antiquities collection

IMG_9604-R-B 2This collection has beautiful tones including a striking mustard which complements the sepia and blue perfectly.

I decided to make my first layout one with a vintage feel as I have a photo of my mum when she was young  and thought it would go really well.

I used a sheet of ‘ Rare’  paper first and using the script side I used Texture Paste around the layout through the co – ordination Distressed Dots mini stencil.

Distressed Dots 6x6 Designer StencilIMG_9591I decided to use a frame  which I cut out from the Precious paper and mounted on foam tape over my base paper.

My layers of paper under my photo were a few of the papers from the paper pad. First off, I embossed some of them with the Distressed  embossing folder.

IMG_9592

I distressed the edges with a paper distresser

Next, I layered lots of die cuts from the Collectables Pack and Sticker Book all around the photo.

IMG_9618

I adore the little sheet with the circles and fussy cut some diamond shapes then used the edges layered up to make a flower. IMG_9603

Finally I used to words Love and Memories together with the date which I cut from a paper in   the paper pad.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Crafting !

From This Moment with Two Souls

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my final layout using the beautiful Two Souls Collection

IMG_9070-RB

This collection lends itself beautifully to wedding photos, and I happen to have a few that I need to make layouts with ! You can definitely adapt the collection for non wedding photos but I used it for that purpose.

I used a sheet of the script side of Leafy paper as the base of my layout.

Next I took a sheet of Just Married paper, cut down to 11 inches square and this time  I used the Bride and Groom stencil in a slightly different way, I used just the edge of the bride’s dress to ink through around the edges of the layout with some Avocado ink

IMG_9057

Then i took some water colour paint from my stash in a green that matched my papers, and added a light wash across the paper.IMG_9059

Once this had dried I adhered it to the base.

I cut  two strips from what was left to approximately 8 inches long then punched along the long edges on one side of each.

On one of the strips I pierced holes and cross stitched down the side with some green thread to add some colour.IMG_9071

once this was done, I used two border stickers from the Sticker Book ,placed them on the left hand side of the layout then tucked my photo inside one of them .

Now, time to use lots of lovely flowers and dies from the Collectables pack and Sticker Book.

IMG_9074

IMG_9072 IMG_9070-R

I also added some of the lovely Curios, which are my current favourite.

IMG_9073

This has again as always been a lovely collection to work with, I hope you have been inspired, and happy crafting !

Mr & Mrs with Two Souls

Hi everyone,

Denise here again with my second layout for this month using the lovely Two Souls collectionIMG_9002-R-B

I used a sheet of Concrete Kaisercard to start then cut down a sheet of the beautiful lacy Tuxe paper to 11.5 inches square. I distressed all the edges with a paper distresser then adhered it to the base card.

IMG_8953

I usually like to choose some papers from the paper pad to mat behind my photo and find some border and ribbon type strips from the back of the paper pad book.

I love to sew on my layouts so, using a sheet of matching paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, took a heart cross stitch template and pierced the holes, then stitched with grey thread.

IMG_8993

I layered up the paper pad papers then placed my photo on top layered with foam tape.

There are lots of lovely flowers and sentiments in the Collectables pack so I chose some of those and used to embellish around the layout, together with some items from the Sticker BookIMG_8978

More beautiful additions to the range are these curios, which I love and like to dot them around the page.

Curios - Two Souls Collection

IMG_8992IMG_8999

Finally I went around the edges of some of the collectables with a silver pen from my stash to highlight them.

Forever with Two Souls

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my first layout using the beautiful Two Souls collection.

IMG_E8807banner

I wanted to try and keep this layout quite simple and  monochromatic with a splash of green as the papers are so beautiful.

First of all I used a sheet of My Heart paper. I cut the middle out to use later and left a frame of approximately one inch which I adhered on to a piece of Snow Weave card to strengthen it.

I then took a piece of the lovely grey polka dot paper White Rose and cut it down to 11.5 inches square.

With the Bride and Groom Mini Stencil, I applied some glittery texture paste on to the corner of the grey paper.

Bride and Groom Mini Designer StencilIMG_E8805

Next, I pierced around the outside edges of the grey paper then stitched with white thread. Once I had stitched all around, I adhered the grey paper to the white frame.

I drew a circle very lightly on to the grey paper then after placing my black and white photo where I wanted it, I arranged various Collectables around on the circle which were raised up on foam tape.IMG_E8805

One of the latest additions to the collections are  the lovely Curios which are really versatile and are very pretty embellishments.

IMG_E8807

My title was a word from the Collectables which was placed inside the circle just above the photo.

I will be back soon with another project from this collection very soon.

Laugh, Love, Live with Breathe

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my final project using the Breathe Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_E8381-R-B

I used a piece of 12 x 12 Anchor cardstock to make the tags, which I drew. I measured so that each tag measured 3.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches long, but cut them all out as one and scored down the middle pieces to fold them inwards.

IMG_8374

I then cut some Joyful Days paper  into three separate tag shapes measuring a quarter of an inch smaller all round than the blue ones and adhered them to the base.

IMG_8376

Next, I took the Leafy 6×6 Designer Stencil, and used Chipped Sapphire Distress ink to ink through onto the tags.

IMG_8377

Once I had done this I matted my small photos on to a piece of paper from the Paper Pad.

Then it was time to embellish with lots of Collectables and Stickers from the Sticker Book.

IMG_8386IMG_8384IMG_8382

I also added some Snow Pearls and inked around the edges of the elements.IMG_8385

To finish off, I added little white ribbon bows from my stash.

We will all be back very soon with some more inspiration using some fab new collections.

Happy Crafting

Some Moments with Breathe

Hi everyone, Denise here with my second project using the absolutely lovely Breathe collectionIMG_7937-2

I decided to use the blue and white of this collection and add a splash of pink.

Firstly I took  a heart template and drew round it then cut it out from a sheet of Navy Night Paper, taking care to avoid the flowers in the corner.

I then used a pokey tool to pierce all around the edge of the heart, then stitched with white thread.IMG_7940

I then carefully placed the heart that had been cut out into the middle of a piece of Snow Kaisercard and placed the frame of navy paper that had the stitching round the heart over it mounted on to foam tape to add depth over the heart on the card.

I cut out lots of the flowers from what was left and used lots of collectables to add dimension.IMG_7942

My photo was tucked under one side of the heart with some sticker banners from the Sticker Book underneath it .

I also used some of the fussy cut flowers and collectables around the top of the heart .

IMG_7936

To finish off I dotted around the outside edges of the layout with a white pen.

IMG_7936

and added some Snow Pearls and heart sticker and title from the sticker bookIMG_7937

This is a really beautiful collection and I will be back with my last project using it very soon.

Happy Crafting
