Today we have our second beautiful layout by Karen Hicks.
This photo of Karen’s daughter Katie was also taken in Florence.
Karen used the lovely Honey Chai collection for her second layout as well. For the base of the layout Karen used the Nutmeg paper and distressed the edges. Other papers used were Ginger which is the strip to the left of the layout and the reverse side of the Sage paper.
The butterfly, birds and special moment saying were all from the collectables pack.
Karen also used some dies to create the lovely flowers and cogs which work perfectly with the layout.
Thank you again Karen for sharing your lovely layout with us.
Our second Guest Designer for May is Deborah Wood.
Debs has created this beautiful layout called “The Bookcase in the Corner”. I just love everything about this layout, the photo and the poem are brilliant.
Debs used the lovely Art of Life collection which features neutral colouring and strong yester-year designs including newspapers, books and dominos. Very fitting for her fabulous layout. For the base Debs used smooth white Kaisercard and stamped all over it to create the effective background. Stamps used were Rocks, Crackle & Dictionary Meanings. Debs then used a selection of the Art of life papers to mount her photo on, including Always, Moments and Remember. For the added detail Debs used elements from the Collectables Pack.
Thank you Debs for sharing your beautiful layout with us.
We have a couple of guest designer layouts on the blog for the month of May and our first guest designer with her lovely layout “Dream” is Karen Hicks. The photo of Karen’s beautiful daughter Katie was taken in Florence at the Boboil Gardens.
Karen used the lovely Honey Chai collection for her layout. The Sage base paper has been distressed round the edges then on top of that Karen used the Tarragon paper which has also been distressed and has lovely sewing round the edges, before matting those two together Karen has added some lovely detail using Kaisercraft Cream Lace pack. The beautiful photo has been matted onto a couple of pages from the Honey Chai paper pad. Karen has also used some die cut elements from the paper pad & Collectable pack to decorate round the edges of the photo along with Kaisercraft pearl flourishes.
Other products used were, thread, template and gesso.
Thank you Karen for sharing your beautiful layout with us.
