Joy to the World using Home for Christmas.

Hi there!

This is the last layout using the lovely Home for Christmas Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_1960For a bright Christmassy look I used a sheet of Kaisercraft cardstock in Scarlet.   On top of the card I cut down a sheet of Pinecones paper and distressed the edges. A strip torn and distressed was added from a sheet of Season paper. I added the gorgeous Poinsettia sticker from the sticker sheet, and placed it at the top of the card and paper.  Cut in half and placed just under the Season strip is the Holly Wreath die -cut.

IMG_1966Around the sides of the  photo of my daughter and her presents, I placed two tags from the Home for Christmas Tag PackCollectables were mounted on to Mounting foam Tape to give the layout a dimensional look.  And for the final finish a lovely sprinkle of Pearls in Green and Red.

Hope you enjoy my post!

Holly jolly Fun – Home for Christmas

Hi there!

Debs here with another Home for Christmas layout.

IMG_1956For this layout I used a sheet of Forest weave cardstock.   From the Paper Pad I cut five 3×3 squares.  I then put them side by side.  By the side of the photo is a decorative square cut  from the Warm wishes paper.  Again from the Paper Pad, from a sheet of the lovely paper I used the Modern Doily Decorative Die.  The die cut was cut in half and placed top and bottom of my layout.  A boarder from the Sticker sheet was placed across the top of my photo.  Collectables were used and given an added lift with Mounting foam Tape.  From left over Forest Cardstock, I cut out three Vines from the Vines Decorative Die.  To give the layout a little sparkle on the Vines, Ranger Ice Stickles in Gold Ice, was used.

IMG_1958By the side of the photo is a decorative square cut from the Warm wishes paper, and on this my photo was dated using Black Dymo Alpha Stickers. As usual a lovely scattering of Pearls in Green.  I love the way all the greens, reds and gold of the papers and collectables, add a beautiful Christmas compliment to the photo of my daughter on Christmas Day.

Hope you enjoy my post!

Christmas Moments

Hi there!

This month I got to use the lovely Christmas collection Home for Christmas. I had some lovely photos of my daughter as a baby on her first Christmas to use.

IMG_1969I used Kaisercraft Kraft card, this was sprayed with KaiserMist Antique Gold and Red.

IMG_1894I then spread using a palette knife, Texture Paste through the  Christmas Quarters  stencil, I spread a thickish amount and left it to air dry.  The effect from using the sprays first is that you can see it through the Texture Paste, so it doesn’t just look flat and white.

IMG_1896A circle was cut and distresses from a sheet of Sugar Plum.  I inked the edges in Kaisercraft mini ink pad-Vine.  A smaller circle was also cut and inked from the Laurel paper, I   Distressed and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Mini Distress in Aged Mahogany.  Further circles were cut out using paper from the Paper Pad.  The photo of my daughter was also cut into a circle and added to the layers of circles.  The Christmas Trees were cut out from the Decoration paper, inked and raised with Mounting foam Tape.

IMG_1953Stars were inked from the Sticker sheet and added to the Christmas trees.  The garland was also from the sticker sheet.  The strip at the top of the layout is cut from the papers and the quote is also a strip cut down.  As usual a lovely sprinkle of Pearls in Green and Red were added to finish the layout.

Hope you enjoy my post!

Be Bright – A Touch of Gold

Hi there!

The wonderful Touch of Gold collection is so great to use – it covers all occasions.

IMG_1849

My base card was Kaisercard stock in Coconut. On top of the card I sprayed and flicked KaiserMist in Antique Gold. Its a beautiful gold, and really picks out the gold foiling in the papers used. I cut a strip of Lavish paper, distressed  and inked the edges in Squeezed Lemonade. For the boarder I used  papers from the Paper pad as they are foiled. The gold spray picks out the gold and blacks beautifully.

IMG_1850

For the boarder I used the Decorative Die – Modern Doilie. It’s a very intricate die, with lots of detail to poke out. Because the dies is very intricate, it was a joy to use Kaisercraft Die Release Paper.  This releases the waste from the die easily.

IMG_1851

The die cuts were cut in half and layered.  On top of the dies another paper was cut down and inked, the paper was Deluxe. From the collectables I choose the polaroid collectables, photos of my son and his girlfriend were cut to fit the apertures.  String was stapled to the Deluxe paper, from the string I used tiny pegs which I had painted white and hung my polaroid’s from. For the finishing touch I used a collectable, strips from the papers and a sprinkle of Bronze Rhinestones.

IMG_1823

I cut a strip of paper Classy paper, on top of this cut from a sheet of Sheen I used the Film Strip Decorative Die.

IMG_1826

Special Moments

Hi there!

This month I’m using the very versatile Collection A Touch of Gold.

For my first layout I’ve used a Christmas photo.  The card used for the base is Kaisercraft cardstock in Licorice.  I cut down a square of Pin Stripe Foil paper, and distressed the edges.  I drew a circle on the back of Christmas Words Foil paper, cut out and distressed.  The foil papers are a lovely thickness.  The circle I stuck down over the foil paper.  I cut strips of paper from the 6.5×6.5 paper pad.  I used the gold and star paper.  Also from the pad I used the boarders.  From the Deluxe paper I made a tag.  My photo was double mounted first on a sheet of Classy and a sheet of Razzle.  The photo was raised on Mounting foam Tape.  Finally I used Collectables and a sprinkle of Rhinestones in Bronze.

Adorable using Little One collection

Hi there!

My last layout using the lovely  Little One collection.  The cardstock I used is Kaisercraft matching cardstock in Splice.  I cut down a sheet of Jack, and inked the edges using a  Kaisercraft mini ink in Black.  I layered  my photo on to a piece of Mia paper, front and back.  To the Jack paper I added a couple of brackets from the Paper Pad.  These were both inked in Tim Holtz Mini Distress inks in Picked Raspberry.  To give the layout another layer I used a couple of Clear Stamps.  The first one I stamped was the Bubble Wrap, inked with Crushed Olive. I then lightly with Honeycomb texture, inked with Peacock Feathers.  On top of the stamped textures I stamped from the Little Ones clear Stamps.

IMG_1476

Next I used some of the lovely Little Ones Collectables.  The R was cut out from the Gloss ABC paper, inked and Epoxy Stickers in Sea Breeze was added.

For this project I used the gorgeous Little One collection to make two cards, one for a little boy and one for a little girl.

For the little boy card I used a sheet of Kaisercraft Card in Blue Haze.  From the 6.5×6.5 Paper Pad I cut down two sheets, inked the edges using Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pad in Peacock Feathers.  I then cut out the journal card from the Cooper Paper, inked the edges in Peacock Feather.  A sentiment was stamped from the Little One Clear stamps on to the journal card.  Collectables were added and mounted onto Mounting foam Dots.  A finishing touch was added with Distress Stickles in Broken China.

Cheeky Monkey using Little One Collection

Hi there!

This month I will be using the lovely collection Little One.  A perfect collection for my Grandson, who is now in the toddler stage.  It’s a more grown up collection for his photo.

IMG_1391

The base is the gorgeous Kaisercraft card in Sea Breeze.  A stunning colour.   On top of this I placed a long strip of Cooper, and rounded the corners. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Mini Distress ink in Peacock Feathers.   I also from the other side of the  paper  cut out the  Journal card and the big and little strip.

I mounted the photo on to a sheet of Harry and rounded the corners, then inked in Peacock Feathers.  I placed the journal card and the photo side by side.  I cut the bottom strip from the Cooper paper and cut it into sections and glued it onto the journal card.

IMG_1395

The bigger strip was inked and added to the bottom of the Cooper paper. A scalloped edged was from the 6.5×6.5 Paper Pad.  Added to the papers were lots of lovely Collectables, these were all inked  and mounted using Mounting Foam Dots.  To finish it all off, I used Epoxy Stickers in Sea Breeze.
