Include some of the COLLECTABLES – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION and pop out sentiments from the PAPER PAD – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION. I have chosen to frame the sentiments with a small piece of left over glitter cardstock. Embellish with matching rhinestones such as RHINESTONES – SMOKERHINESTONES – LIPPY RED and RHINESTONES – SOFT PINK. For the last step I have used the Glossy Accents by Ranger Inkssentails. MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Four Layered Cards Picture 6 MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Four Layered Cards Picture 5

Kookaburra with Native Breeze by Kaisercraft

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I would like to share a very Ozzie themed layout with you. I have created it using the NATIVE BREEZE Collection by Kaisercraft. The main theme of my layout is the Australian native bird- the Kookaburra. This bird has a very distinctive call which sounds like laughing. They are white and brown with gorgeous blue/green patches of features in the wings, as you can see clearly in the featured photograph. My lovely and very talented friend Gaby took this stunning photo. I have also focussed on the Ozzie colours for this layout- go green and gold!
MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 1

To create this layout I have followed the steps below:

  1.  Cut a strip of KAISERCARD CINNAMON WEAVE CARDSTOCK to 30.5 x 21 cm. Punch along the top and bottom using your favourite border punch. Measure ~0.5 cm under the pattern and create stitching holes using the SEW EASY STITCH PIERCER. Use teal coloured DMC thread and sew through holes. Using a PAPER DISTRESSER to distress the unpunched edges.
  2. Take SUNDOWN – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION and trim the bottom to 30.5 x 12 cm. Distress short edges and adhere ~1.5 cm from the stitching on the bottom of the cinnamon strip.
  3. Splatter KAISERMIST SPRAY INK – GOLD SHIMMER 50ML onto the prepared strip.
MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 2
  4. Take the bottom strip from BANKSIA BOUQUET – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION and adhere across the top of the brown strip ~1 cm from the top stitching. Take a yellow and a white sticker strip from the STICKER BOOK – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION and adhere to the top of the large green section, on both sides.
MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 3
  5. Take PINK PROTEA – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION, remove bottom strip and distress edges. From the middle, cut a piece from the middle 12 x 9.5 cm to frame your photo later. Using spare cardboard or foam tape, adhere your pre-prepared strip ~3.5 cm from the bottom.
MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 4
Take photo with dimensions of 15.2 x 10.2 cm frame with pre-cut Pink Protea piece, KAISERCARD CINNAMON WEAVE CARDSTOCK (16 x 10.8 cm), SUNDOWN – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION (15.5 x 11.3 cm) and white wattle page from the PAPER PAD – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION (11.3 x 16.5 cm), distress all framing pieces. Adhere matted photo to the layout ~3 cm from the top and 5.5 cm from the left of layout. I have also added a Uniquely Creative laser cut word to my photo frame. I have prepared it by inking in KAISERINK PAD – CHOCOLATE and covering it with Rangers Glossy Accents. MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 5
  6. Take 2 x ~40 cm teal coloured DMC thread and pull out each individual thread, curl them up and glue around the edges of the central green strip of your layout. Also add some to the top left of the photo, as a base for a small embellishment cluster. Adhere a second  BANKSIA BOUQUET – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION bottom strip (with distressed edges) using foam tape to the bottom edge of the green strip, to help hold the thread in place.MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Kookaburra Image 6
  7. Fussy cut the Kookaburra birds and matching leaves from NATIVE FLOCK – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION. Take these same items from the COLLECTABLES – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION. Adhere in the areas where the curly thread in located to help hold it down further.
  8. Embellish further with RHINESTONES – NAVY and the Kookaburra CURIOS – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION.

Together with Native Breeze

Hello, Karen here with my second project using the very colourful Native Breeze collection. For this layout I wanted to focus on all the lovely sentiments from the Southern Sky cut-a-part paper.

together

I started by gutting a 1 inch frame from the reverse of Gum Leaves. I then trimmed the Native Flock paper down to an 11 in square and adhered this to the Gum Leaves frame.  Finally I added the piece of Gum Leaves that I had gutted from the middle of the frame.  I then used black embroidery thread to stitch around the Native Flock Paper.

Once my stitching was complete, I started to build up my page by adding the four 3in squares from Southern Sky to a piece of red paper, from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, and placing this in the centre of my page. My photos were then added.

IMG_2800

I added as many pieces, cut from Southern Sky, to my page as I could fit, choosing the ones that fitted best with my two photos.  To complete this part of my layout I filled in any gaps with word phrases from the Sticker Book and Collectables Pack.

On either side of my central block I added flowers cut from Banksia Bouquet and the corrisponding page from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, using flowers and leaves from the Collectables Pack to fill in any gaps and to extend my clusters at the top and bottom of each spray.

IMG_2798 IMG_2797

For my title I used the word ‘Together’ – from the Collectables Pack along with a geotag at either end and a flower underneath, these were also from the Collectables Pack.

IMG_2796

Finally I added two Collectables circles and a curio to the middle of my page.

IMG_2795

Using the  Southern Sky cut-a-parts was a lovely way to document two of my favourite family photos.

Galah with Native Breeze by Kaisercraft

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a beautiful layout I have created using the NATIVE BREEZE Collection. I have focused on the pinks blacks and teals of this collection to capture the stunning photo I have used. This amazing photo was taken by my very talented Uncle Ray, who has kindly let me use this photo in my work. With this work, supported by Merly Impressions,  I am hoping to raise money to donate to help the wild life recover from the 2019-2020 Bushfires in Australia. A big thanks to Chrissy and Merly Impressions for supporting this fund raising endeavour.

MIDT2020-02 Native Breeze by Kaisercraft - Galah Image 1

  1. Take SOUTHERN SKY – NATIVE BREEZE COLLECTION, trim to28 x 28 cm, round the top left hand corner and splatter with KAISERMIST SPRAY INK – NAVY 50ML. Measure 7 cm along the bottom edge and 7 cm down the right edge, draw a line between the two markings and cut along the line. Take your favourite border punch and punch along both sides of your cut. Trim down the small triangle as much as you like, until you reach your desired size.
  2. Ink all edges in KAISERINK PAD – SEA BREEZE and stamp CLEAR STAMP – LATTICE in the bottom left corner using the same ink.

Favourite Day with Native Breeze

Hello, Karen here with my third page using Native Breeze.  I was particularly struck by the gorgeous Sundown paper in this range and wanted to use it to showcase a photo of my daughter and her partner, when they got engaged in Italy on a beach at sunset.

Favourite Day

I started by trimming 5ins from the top and .5 in from the right of the Sundown paper. I then stuck this to the top of a piece of Shadow Weave Kaisercard leaving a .25 border at the top and both sides.

Next I tore 4 in piece of the reverse of Eucalyptus paper, vertically – to give it an uneven top, trimmed .5 in from one side and added to the bottom of my page to give the illusion of a landscape similar to that of my chosen photo.

I double mounted my photo onto two pieces of paper taken from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and added this to my page, slightly overlapping the torn piece at the bottom.

IMG_2831

At the top right of my photo I tucked a phrase from the  Southern Sky paper with a ticket phrase from the Collectables Pack at the top right and bottom left of the  Southern Sky phrase.

Under my photo I placed two border stickers, a large circular phrase sticker and seven pennant stickers in an arc – all from the Sticker Book.

IMG_2830

The cluster at the top left of my photo was made up of leaves, flowers and birds, from the Collectables Pack, along with a flower cut from Banksia Bouquet paper and two fern leaves, die cut using a die similar to this one and a piece of Eucalyptus paper .

IMG_2832

My title ‘Favourite Day’, also from the Collectables Pack was added to the bottom left of my photo and as a final flourish I added a Rose Pearl to each of the banner stickers.

Favourite Day

This was the perfect paper for the perfect photo.

So Blessed with Kaisercraft’s Lily and Moss Collection

Hello Lovely Craft Friends,

The LILY AND MOSS Collection is just perfect for simple, but bold and contrasting layouts such as this one I have created here. I have used a lovely black and white wedding photo as the focus and main colours of this layout. I have then added a flare of pink. I have even slipped in some of my favourite mixed media techniques. Kaisercraft’s LILY AND MOSS Collection is just perfect if you wish to use a black and white photos or if one if your favourite colours is pink!

Picture 1- So Blessed Lily and Moss Collection

To create this lovely layout, I have followed these steps:

  1. Trim CHALKY – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION to 30.5 x 30.5 cm and stamp in KAISERINK PAD – COTTON CANDY the CLEAR STAMP – LATTICE pattern randomly from the top to the bottom of the left side of the layout and horizontally through the centre.
  2. Apply Tim Holtz Oxide Ink- Black Soot to INKSSENTIALS CRAFT SHEET and spritz with some water. Lay your layout into the liquid in a way that you introduce the black ink to the area you have stamped. It is really nice to see that the black ink takes to the pink ink and adopts the pattern of the stamp in some areas.
  3. After the ink is dry, blend 2 cm edge of KAISERINK PAD – COTTON CANDY on edges of the layout using an ink blending tool and INKSSENTIALS CRAFT SHEET. Followed by a light edge inking in KAISERINK PAD – LICORICEPicture 2- So Blessed Lily and Moss Collection Picture 3- So Blessed Lily and Moss Collection
  4. Mix a little bit of  TEXTURE PASTE and KAISERCOLOUR PAINT – CANDY 75ML, then apply over the black inked parts of your layout, through the TINY TRIANGLES 6X6 DESIGNER STENCILPicture 4- So Blessed Lily and Moss Collection
  5. Take a black and white photo with a white border that measures 11.8 x 8.1 cm. Then mat it with a pink sheet from the PAPER PAD – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION with dimensions of 8.7 x 12.5 cm. Use MOUNTING FOAM TAPE to adhere matted photo to a piece of KAISERCARD COAL WEAVE CARDSTOCK measuring 9.4 x 13.4 cm. Add another layer with a white and black sheet from the PAPER PAD – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION with dimensions of 10.5 x 15.3 cm.
  6. Take another pink and a white and black sheet from the PAPER PAD – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION and trim to 6 x14.5 cm and layer behind the layered photo with one slightly higher and the other slightly lower. Add two strips of punched KAISERCARD COAL WEAVE CARDSTOCK 10 cm long and a few stickers from the STICKER BOOK – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION. Adhere layered photo to the middle of left side of the page. Picture 5- So Blessed Lily and Moss Collection

Friendship Box with Kaisercraft’s Lily and Moss Collection

Hello Lovely Craft Friends,

I couldn’t help but try something new this month using the LILY AND MOSS Collection. I came across this very interesting shaped gift box in my travels and thought it would make the perfect appreciation or friendship box that could be used to hold little gifts such a chocolates. Kaisercraft’s LILY AND MOSS Collection has the perfect little friendship quotes for decorating this gorgeous little box!

To create this cute box I followed the steps below:

  1. Click on the image below to enlarge it on your screen. Right click on this large image and click “Save Image As”. Print the image in the size that you want. I have used it on cardstock to make my own template, so I have printed it as 30.5 x 30.5 cm. Alternatively, email me at roxiiscraftstudio@gmail.com and I can send you the PowerPoint Session that I have used, or the image in higher resolution.Roxii's Friendship Box 2020
  2. Print or race your template onto FLICKER – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION.
  3. Cut along the solid lines. Fold inwards along all dotted lines.Picture 1- Friendship Box 2020

Life Itself is the Most Wonderful Fairytale with Flowers Story

Hello, Karen here with my final project for February using the lovely Flowers Story range from ScrapBoys.  IMG_2540

This time I decided to make a double layout – mainly because the paper pack has two of every paper and it would would be a shame not to utalise them ( the paper pack is an absolute bargain  – 12 papers, plus a fussy cutting sheet, for £9.95).

The final page was a happy accident as I had planned for the two pages to be the opposite way round (with the small centre cluster in the middle) but when I laid them down to photograph put them the opposite way round and liked it better – the joy of double pages :0).

For this page I have used the Flowers Story paper pack, one piece of Paper 07  Mandela 12 x 12 Stencil, Red Gum Ink Pad and two sheets of Oatmeal Kaisercard.

I started by trimming .5 in from one side and the bottom of two pieces of Paper 05 and adding it to my Oatmeal Kaisercard. I laid them side by side and used the Mandela 12 x 12 Stencil and the Red Gum Ink Pad to add a pattern to the centre.

IMG_2381

Next I cut the cluster of flowers from both pieces of Paper 03 and added them to the centre of the Mandela. I cut Paper 02 in half vertically and fussy cut around the flowers, adding this to the far left and far right of my pages.

IMG_2382

From Paper 07 and the corresponding sheet from the paper pack I cut Four butterflies, two large and two small watch faces and four black and white flowers. I added these to the small cluster and top and bottom of the cascade of flowers down the centre.

IMG_2542 IMG_2543

From Paper 06, I cut four large frames and added them to my page, with my photos on top.

Right Left

I used ‘Life itself is the most WONDERFUL FAIRYTALE stamp and a scrap of paper for my title.

I have really enjoyed working with this paper range this month and have found it so versatile, it is the perfect range for both male and female projects.

6 Effective Cards using the Kaisercraft Lily and Moss Collection

Hello fellow crafters,

This month I am working with the lovely pink and green filled LILY AND MOSS Collection by Kaisercraft. The tones of this collection work so well together that it was hard not to use all the papers on one project! I have created at beautiful sextet of cards to share with you this month. Each card has the same basic starting elements and then embellishing the has made each one individual. I have included the instructions below, just incase you are interesting in giving this set of cards a go yourself. Picture 1- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection

To create my sextet of greeting cards, I have used the following instructions :

  1. Take or make 6 white cards 10.2 x15.4 cm. Ink the edges using an Ink Blending tool and KAISERINK PAD – FOREST.
  2. Onto 2 of the cards, randomly stamp CLEAR TEXTURE STAMP – GRID in  KAISERINK PAD – FOREST.  Onto 2 other cards, randomly stamp CLEAR STAMP – LATTICE in KAISERINK PAD – LICORICE. To the last two cards apply a TEXTURE PASTE + KAISERCOLOUR PAINT – CANDY 75ML mix through the TINY TRIANGLES 6X6 DESIGNER STENCILPicture 2- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection
  3. Take 2x pink, 2x green and 2x black and white sheets from the PAPER PAD – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION. Cut each sheet into 2x squares (7×7 cm) and 2x rectangles (8×4 cm). Turn the rectangles into bunting by cutting triangles from the short side of the rectangles. Ink the edges in  KAISERINK PAD – FOREST.
NB. I have prepared some extra pieces but did not end up using them.Picture 4- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection
  4. Adhere the prepared pieces to the cards so that there is 2x bunting and 2x squares on each card. I have used cardboard from an old pizza box and glue under the top square to give dimension but MOUNTING FOAM TAPE could be used instead.Picture 3- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection
  5. For the last step, make each card unique by embellishing using a variety of items. Including but not limited to stickers from the STICKER BOOK – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION, embellishments from the PAPER PAD – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION and COLLECTABLES – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTION, wooden flourishes from the FLOURISH PACK – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTIONCURIOS – LILY AND MOSS COLLECTIONPAPER BLOOMS – COCONUTPAPER BLOOMS – FAIRY FLOSSRHINESTONES – SOFT PINK, and RHINESTONES – SILVER.Picture 5- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection Picture 6- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection Picture 7- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection Picture 8- Card Sextet Lily and Moss Collection
