Hello, Karen here with my second project using Uncharted Waters. I was really excited to see if I could make a mini album using the instructions here for making a twist and pop card.
I started by cutting a piece of Kaisercraft Snow Weave card into three 12in x 4in pieces to use as my card bases. I covered the inside of each card with a piece of paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and then made the internal mechanism, using thin white card, as in the instructions above. The cards were stuck one on top of the other to make a stack of three. I turned the stack around to make my album landscape rather than portrait and began to decorate it.
I used two pieces of paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad to cover the front and back of my album. I then added some stickers from the Sticker Book and some Collectables, a curio, finishing off with a phrase strip from the bottom of one of the papers.
Today I am sharing a Mini Album that I have created using Kaisercraft’s CRAFTERNOON Collection. I was excited to use this collection! I think it is very versatile and it just perfect to capture and record those creative memories, especially for those photos that are a little more difficult to use with “just any collection”. I have used the great mix of colours in this collection to create this Mini Album, to display a bunch of photos taken on a painting day with my partners nephew, nieces and Dalmatian.
To create this Mini Album I have followed the instructions below:
Hello, Karen here with my second project using Kaisercraft’s Crafternoon collection. On my last project I focussed on using the elements from the range that related to sewing and for my mini-album I am focussing on using the elements that relate to scrapbooking.
I decided to make a mini-album to showcase some of my favourite layouts and wanted to make it as quickly and easily as possible. After going through my stash I found some 4 x 4 greetings cards and decided these would be perfect for my little project.
I have made an instructional video showing how easy it is to make this little book which would be perfect for so many other themes rather than just a mini scrapbook.
I hope I have inspired you to give this little mini-album a go! I was so inspired by the possibilities available with this very pretty range that I have already made my third project and am planning more with the bits and bobs I have left over.
Karen here with my second project using the Morning Dew collection. For this project I have made a little brag book with photos of my daughter Gracia’s engagement which happened when she was on holiday in Italy. Be warned there are lots of photos :0)
Karen here with my last project using the Breathe collection from Kaisercraft. This time I decided to experiment with a Travelers Notebook. I have wanted to use one of these for ages and bought a set of three, complete with a leather cover.
I cut my box from Coal cardstock on my Silhouette from a design I had made several years ago but there is a tutorial for making a similar box here. Once I had made my box I and lid I used papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad to cover the top of the lid, base of the bottom and the pages.
Karen here with the last of my projects using Kaisercraft’s Sparkle range. I am sooooo excited to show you this one as it took a while to work out how to make it and even longer to make but I must admit I loved every minute spent doing this.
Here it is – a mini album all ready for my Christmas photos and there had better be plenty of those because this little album can hold more than 50!
I made the album from chipboard, for the covers, which I painted black and Licorice cardstock. Once I had assembled my book it was time for the fun part – the decoration. For the covers I added a piece of Aglow paper to which I added rose gold texture paste through a 6 x 6 stencil – Geo Lines. Next I added some flowers from Glint, a title block from Luster and a phrase from the Sticker Sheet.
To cover the inside pages I used a mixture of papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and scraps of 12 x 12 papers that I had left over from my previous projects. I have listed below the supplies I have used for this project.
Denise here with a little mini album using the Anthology collection.
I loved all the gorgeous little butterflies and phrases in this collection and really wanted to include them in a little book.
I used Kraft card for the book, cutting four pieces measuring 6 x 9 inches. They were then folded in half. Next thing was to open out each piece, then adhere one right hand back side to one front left side of each, making the book. I cut a piece of card measuring 2 x 6 inches to make the spine. Before I covered the front and back pages, I stuck a piece of ribbon to each side with some strong tape.
This collection has so many gorgeous little sayings and illustrations it was perfect to sit and cut out lots of butterflies and phrases.
I made some tags from the Kraft card and stamped some butterflies and sentiments using Kaisercraft stamps as below
Denise here with my third project using the Fleur Kaisercraft collection. My brief was to make a 3d project so I decided to make a little fold up book. These are not new and you can find instructions on the internet, but I will explain how to make it in this post.
Using White Kaisercard cut three 15cm squares and Ballet cardstock cut two 8cm squares. Make sure the squares are accurate so that the book folds neatly.
Take the three white squares and fold each one in half widthways then fold again lengthways and open out.
Next, fold diagonally just once then line the three squares up as shown below with the diagonal line going vertically and one corner square of each overlapping the next one. Apply glue to the three overlapping squares and stick together.
Now pinch the top horizontal folds inwards, the middle outwards and bottom inwards then press the top and bottom squares down flat.
Stick the pink squares to the top and bottom squares as the covers. Now the book is made, time to decorate it with your photos and papers.
I used papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and stickers from the Sticker Sheet and Collectables Pack to decorate together with photographs. The triangles were made from 7cm squares that are cut in half diagonally. My photos were also 7cm square ( I cut mine down from ones that measured 6×4 inches )
This is a really cute little book and quite effective when folded and opened. Once you get the idea you could adapt it as a larger one too.
I really enjoyed making this and hope you like it !
