Open Road Scrapbook Layout

Good morning all.

Today I am bringing a layout using the beautiful Open Road Kaisercraft  collection.

imageTo start this layout I first took a sheet of Sprout Kaisercard and gutted it to leave a frame 1.5″ wide all around. I then took the sheet of Bushwalk patterned paper and cut this down to 11″ x 11″. I then gutted an 8″ square from the centre and saved for later. I then layered the piece I had gutted from the Sprout Kaisercard over the first two layers and cut a piece of the Bushwalk paper into a 4″ strip.

I then used the 6.5″ paper pad and used two pieces of paper to create the long 12″ strip down the right hand side of the shown. I also used the paper pad to make the three varying length banners.

imageI then  cut and mounted my two 3.5″ square photos and matted them on white card which I then inked with Tim Holtz Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I then Die cut my circular photo and matted it on a scalloped nesting die background.

imageI then arranged the photos as shown and  used embellishments from the Collectable Pack . In amongst the clusters I added some leaves that I cut using a Kaisercraft Decorative Die and Stamp set similar to this one here.  I also added some wood flourishes and Daffodil Sparklets.

imageOn the left hand cluster I used more collectables from the pack, another die cut leaf and a further wood flourish together with a small piece of cheesecloth tucked into the cluster.  I also added a smattering of Chocolate coloured pearls and another Daffodil Sparklet.

imageTo finish I added more collectables and another wood flourish alongside the square photographs.

If you have an Australia themed photos to use up this really is the most ‘must have’ collection ever!
