Hello Kaisercraft fans!
Emmy here today with my first post for June. This month I have the absolute pleasure to work with Kaisercraft’s “Sage and Grace”collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). The shabby chic images and the lovely colour palette of this collection, makes it perfect for any girly picture you might have. And here are some tips & tricks on how I did it.
I positioned the template, where I wanted the cherry pattern, covered the rest of the sheet with paper and sprayed directly on the template. Then I cleaned the template, turned it around and sprayed again finishing the design. Allow it to dry.Once the mist has dried, I started arranging the pattern papers I decided to use from the Paper Pad and a torn off stripe of Corrugated Cardboard Sheet. I smudged Distress Ink Pad – Tattered Rose around the stenciled pattern and using Clear Stamp Honeycomb stamped the extra pattern around it. I altered the Corrugated Cardboard with Dina Wakley White Gesso and sprinkled KaiserMist on top of all the layers. I matted my picture on a slightly bigger panel of Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock and adhered it using Mounting Foam Tape in the top middle of my layout on top of a cheese cloth layer.
To decorate my page I used various die cut elements from the Collectables pack… … various Rub-ons and die cut embellishments (Decorative Die – Texture Woven) … … and flowers (Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink). To cut the foliage I used Decorative Die -Mini Foliage, Coconut Cardstock and Kraft A4 Cardstock. For my title I used a die cut word from the Collectables pack and a sticker word from Sticker Sheet. I doodled a frame around the sticker work using Kaisercolour Gel Pens – brown with glitter. As a final touch I added Pearls – Rose and Rhinestones – Champagne.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
Have a wonderful weekend!
