As soon as I saw the paper, aptly named Fairytale, with little toadstools on it , from the Enchanted Collection, reminded me of a fairy grotto and so that gave me the idea of adding ‘fairy wings’ to a full length photo of Gracia and building a fairy grotto around the photo.
For this layout I have used Fairytale, Mystical and Utopia 12 x 12 papers, Caramel Weave cardstock, Collectables, 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, Make a Wish stamp and die set, Rhinestones – Silver and Mounting Foam Tape.
I started by cutting 1.5 ins from the top of the Fairytale paper and stuck this to a piece of Caramel Weave cardstock. I then used a plate to draw a semi circle onto the top part of the Mystical, fussy cut this out and added to the top of my page using Mounting Foam Tape to give it dimension.
Next I fussy cut a full length photo of Gracia and used the wings from the stamp set to stamp and heat emboss onto a piece of vellum to create her fairy wings.
I added a toadstool, from the Collectables to the centre of my page approx 1 in from the bottom, using Mounting Foam Dots and added Gracia’s photo to the top of this to look as though she was standing on it. I then fussy cut some more toadstalls from the Utopia paper and added them, with some small ones from the Collectables either side of my page.
I used the butterfly stamp from the Make a Wish stamp and die set and heat embossed and cut butterflies from the red with white spots paper in the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad , scattering these around my page. I added one to cover up Gracia’s feet as on the photo she is standing in the sea and her feet looked strange.
I embellished the fairy wings and butterflies with Rhinestones – Silver , also adding three to Gracia’s head to make a ‘fairy crown’.
Finally I mounted the ‘Believe’, from the Collectables pack onto a scrap of the paper I used for my butterflies and added a phrase, also from the Collectables pack.
I had so much fun creating this layout and love that it was so different to my previous one. This is certainly a very versatile paper range suitable for both genders.
