“Live Bright” layout with Scrap Studio

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today sharing my first post for December. This month I have the absolute pleasure to design with Kaisercraft’s Scrap Studio collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). This collection features colourful flowers and beautiful butterflies, but as you can see below it looks perfect on a boyish layout too.

For my background I used the Tarnished pattern paper. To create the white dimensional pattern I used Texture paste and Waffle 6×6 Designer Stencil. Once the paste has dried, I adhered the pattern paper onto a sheet of Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock to smooth its surface. Then I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold and KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top. MI-Braver-det-a

I distressed the edges of my picture using a Paper Distresser and a Paper piercing tool. I took a paper from the Paper pad, fussy cut its edge and adhered my picture on top of it using Mounting Foam Tape. I also added die cut embellishments using a pattern paper from the Paper pad and Decorative Die – Texture BurlapMI-Braver-det-bMI-Braver-det-c

To decorate my picture I used pre-cut quotes from the Collectables pack and from the Paper padMI-Braver-det-d MI-Braver-det-eI also added a wooden clock embellishment (Lucky Dip Wooden Flourish Pack – Antiques) and a rhinestone arrow (Kaisercraft Rhinestone Arrow Copper). MI-Braver-det-f MI-Braver-det-g

As a final touch I added Rhinestones – Bronze and Epoxy Stickers – Sea BreezeMI-Braver-det-h MI-Braver-det-i

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have fun creating and don’t forget to stop by Merly Impressions’ store for some wonderful new crafty supplies!
