Thankful Everyday

Karen here with the second of my projects using the Full Bloom collection.

For this page I wanted to use the lovely clear stamps but am not a confident stamper.  Then I remembered I have a stamping gadget that would make all the difference.  It looks like a large CD case and you place your stamps on the inside, ink them up and close it onto your project, ensuring that the image is in exactly the same place every time.

First I arranged my stamps to make a floral corner

and then inked some of the leaves with a Vine ink pad.

I used the corner of a baby wipe to wipe clean any bits that had ink where I didn’t want it.  I then stamped on all four corners of the smooth side of my Coconut Weave cardstock, which I had trimmed down to 11.5ins x 11.5ins. I did the same to the remaining leaves and flowers using Avocado, Berry and Petal Pink.

Next I mounted this onto a piece of Ballet Weave cardstock. To this I added an eight inch circle of Garden Bed paper with the large floral cluster, from the sticker sheet, horizontally across the middle.

I spent a happy evening watching a film and fussy cutting all the flowers from a sheet of Posy paper and then arranged them around my circle – attaching with foam dots.

I cut the ‘Thankful Everyday’ from the Blooming Foil paper, which as the title suggests has beautiful foiled accents in rose gold, and placed this centre top of my circle of flowers.

Next, I mounted my photo on three layers of paper taken from the 6.5ins x 6.5ins paper pad, using foam dots between each layer and the photograph.

My final touches were to add a heart from the Collectables Pack, three  Dusty Pink paper blooms, two little sprigs cut from the Posy paper and some glitter glue to the centre of my flowers.

I hope this inspires you to use this gorgeous range to create something and to even step out of your comfort zone and stamp directly on a page!

I will be back soon with my third project for this month.
