Here’s something a little different… I decorated this Cigar Box as part of a challenge set by some close friends and decided to use Kaisercraft’s beautiful Bonjour collection to give it a sophisticated look.
I covered the whole box in the Paris paper (reverse), then covered the sides with strips of the Moriesse paper and the top in layers of the Notre-Dame (reverse) and Mairie papers. I distressed the edges of the paper and used one of my favourite tools, the WRMK Sew Easy Stitch Piercer, to add distressed stitching around the top.
The top of the box is decorated with layers of detail cut from the Mairie and Moriesse papers (some of which is highlighted with Crystal Lacquer). I’ve also used a Kaisercraft Wood Flourish Frame (distressed with an Adirondack Paint Dabber and Gold Perfect Pearl Mist), some Kaisercraft Pearls and a Mini Paper Bloom. I finished the box with a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Keyhole and some Tim Holtz Idea-ology Box Feet.
Hopefully you like my altered Cigar Box and thank you for visiting. Please feel free to comment (and many thanks to everyone who has commented on previous posts).
