Emmy here today with a brand new Beyond the Page project to share. With only three months until the Christmas Season, it is time to start thinking about the decorations, the tree and the presents of course. Every year we add one new piece to our Christmas collection – a sparkly bauble, a nativity scene from a place far far away or something cute that the kids created at school. When I saw Kaisercraft’s Beyond the Page – Advent Calendar I thought I have to have it! So, I decided to decorate it and use it for our December scavenger hunt this year.
And of course, the best collection to use is Kaisercraft’s “Christmas Wishes” (available at Merly Impressions online store). For the background I used Fur Tree pattern paper. I decorated the tree using fussy cut decorations from a glossy paper from the Paper Pad and Rhinestones – Antique Rose, Champagne and Lilac. For the sentiment I used a card from the Christmas Card pattern paper. I layered it on top of a slightly larger piece of pattern paper and a die cut frame. I adhered the framed sentiment using Mounting Foam Tape.
I used various pattern papers from the Paper Pad and the Paper Pack to cover the small boxes. After adhering the pattern paper to the box front, I inked all the edges with Tea Dye distress ink pad from Mini Distress Ink Pad Kit 11. Then I decorated them with Rhinestones and sticker words from the Sticker Sheet. I used the digits from the set, which I altered with Gold embossing powder. To embellish the Advent Calendar further I used die cuts from the Collectables pack and stickers from the Sticker Sheet. To create the presents I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad and organza ribbon.I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
Have a very creative weekend!
