Hello, Karen here with the first of my projects using Uncharted Waters. It seems strange working with seaside photos when its cold and frosty outside! For my first project I decided to use an embroidery hoop as a frame for my home decore – I have seen several of these used in this way recently, and was itching to have a go.
I cut a circle from Pelagic which was .5 inch larger than my inside hoop. To this I added a torn piece of Seashore to the bottom, I though this would look like sand. Than I snipped all around the edge of the circle and secured it into my hoop.
I used White Iridescent Kaisermist to add splatters all over the papers.
On the top left of my frame I used starfish and shells from the collectables pack and the Sticker Book. I used a die, from my own stash, to cut some ‘seaweed’ from a page out of the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad.
Finally I used a phrase from the Shallows paper for my title.
I really enjoyed making this project and can’t wait to show you what I have made for my second project this month.
Until than I hope you can find some crafty time and I hope I have inspired you to try something different with the Uncharted Waters collection.
