Christmas cards with Frosted

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with festive cards featuring the wintery Frosted collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions online store).

mi-christmas-card1-web mi-christmas-card2-webTo create these cards I used pattern papers, glitter cardstock and vintage postcards.

For the first one I used Kaisercard Vanilla Weave Cardstock for the card base and pattern papers from the Paper Pad for the layers under the vintage image. After I adhered the layers with Mounting Foam Tape, I sprinkled KaiserMist Aqua and Charcoal on top.

mi-christmas-card1-det-aI stamped the smaller snowflakes using the Clear Stamps – Frosted Collection and Distress Ink Pad – Clear Embossing and then I heat embossed the set with Silver embossing powder. For the large bluish snowflakes I used Kaisercraft Snowflake Decorative Die and Frost Glitter Cardstock. I decorated the die cut snowflakes from the Collectables pack with left overs from the glitter cardstock and Rhinestones – Silver.

mi-christmas-card1-det-cFor my second card I used Silver cardstock for the card base and glossy pattern papers from the Paper Pad for the layers under the vintage image. I adhered the different layers with Mounting Foam Tape.

To decorate the vintage image I used die cuts from the Collectables pack and Mini Paper Blooms – Coconut. I added silver colour to the flowers by putting a bit of Kaisercolour Paint – Metallic Silver on the tip of my fingers and smudging it gently on the blossom.

mi-christmas-card2-det-a-1 mi-christmas-card2-det-a-2For the sentiment I used a die cut from the Paper Pad, which I “framed” with a part of a glittery snowflake.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
