Frosty The Snowman

Hi again…Emma here! It’s time for me to share my second card using the Mint Twist collection and this one, is a really cute rocker card which I thought went so well with this fun collection of papers and embellishments.

To make this card, I cut a circle from a heavyweight cardstock, scored down the centre and folded in half. This gives you the basic rocker card blank. Next, I added a smaller circle of white card and blended the edges with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and using a green pen, added some faux stitching around the edge. I then cut a smaller circle from a piece of the Peppermint paper and adhered this onto the centre of my medium sized circle and then, attached these matts onto my folded card blank.

I added the Snowman, large Christmas tree, Merry Christmas and Rudolph die cuts from the Collectables pack onto the front of my card. My tip for making one of these cards, is…whatever you add onto the front of your card, always ensure that your card is perfectly balanced in weight on either side, so that it will still maintain the rocking motion. I tied some of the Sew Easy twine around two of the Stocking die cuts from the Collectables pack and added these to each side of my rocker card.

Finally, I added white adhesive pearls onto the Christmas tree and red gems onto Rudolph’s nose and on the top of the tree and used Glossy Accents to accentuate the snowman’s eyes, nose and buttons.

Thanks for popping by to take a look at my little creation and I really hope you like it!

See you again soon.

Emma xx
