I’m just back from the sun and getting ready for Christmas, hope you are all looking forward to the festive season.
I’ve made a selection of cards using elements from the fabulously festive Holly Jolly collection from Kaisercraft this month.
For the first card, I created a circular easel card using Creative Memories circles. A 6×6″ white card was used as the base with an additional circle on card as the topper. Another circle cut from the white thermographic sheet in the paper pad was added to the top with Cheery cut and trimmed to fit the base.
Next one of the sentiment squares was taken from Sprightly paper which I trimmed out the circle and removed the centre – these were then layered back on to top of the card with mounting foam offsetting the central sentiment.
Trees were cut from the Hearty paper from the pad and added with foam again. A small bow and some gems were added along with glitters to complete the this. The stopper uses the leftover white card, another bow and more gems.
The second card uses the black and white section of music paper from Zippy trimmed to fit a 6×6″ white card base with the edges inked using Hickory Smoke Distress ink. A piece of ribbon was wrapped around and a knot added towards the bottom. Trees were cut from the Hearty paper (12×12″) inked and layered in the bottom left corner. The sentiment square in the top was taken from the paper pad, trimmed and added with a die cut from the same pad and scalloped circle cut with a Stampin’ up punch. To finish, as always, I can’t resist some bling so gems and stickles were added.
Card Three & Four use a sentiment squares from Chipper paper as below
I cut the Hexagon from the centre (around the brown edge) then placed the frame onto a 6×6″ white card centrally. Once in place a sharp craft knife was used to release the top half which was then folded to create the easel. The sentiment was inked and replaced using mounting foam. Gleeful from the paper pad was trimmed to fit the base and a scalloped border from the same pad added as a stopper. A selection of Poinsettias were added (Kaisercraft dies can be found here) along with some gems.
Lastly, a simple design where the decorative panel was added to a 6×6″ blank. A sentiment from the same Chipper paper was trimmed and added, along with some trees from the Hearty paper (12×12″) with mounting foam. A double bow and gems, plus some glitter to finish.
Check back later in the week for more inspiration from my lovely DT colleagues too.
