Two Silent Night Christmas cards

Hi all

Today I have the pleasure in sharing my two Christmas cards made with the Silent Night Kaisercraft collection.

imageI have to tell you that choosing two cards to showcase this collection was not easy.. what was easy was making cards with this gorgeous collection. There are so many beautiful, traditional images to use to create an abundance of cards!

Finally, having easily made a few cards to choose from,  I settled on these two cards, the first of which is this one which I call  ‘Four Santas’. Using the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad. I mounted the Kraft striped page on Scarlet Weave Kaisercraft cardstock. I then cut the music paper from the pad and added that to more scarlet CS. I also took the large Santa topper from the Family Time paper from the collection. I used three more Santas from the ‘postage stamp’ santa sheet from the pad and also mounted them all on more scarlet CS.

imageI took some cream crinkled lace from my stash and mounted the three Santa stamps and the large topper over the lace. I also used Tim Holtz Pine Twine to tuck behind the topper and added a heat embossed wood flourish bauble from the Wood Flourish pack-Joy.

I then used the Silent Night Stamp set to stamp the wreath. I heat embossed it using red glitter embossing powder and coloured it in using the Kaisercraft Gel Metallic and Glitter pens. (at under £1 per pen these are this seasons MUST have item!)  I then highlighted the bow and some berries with some Stickles.

imageI finished off the corners with some red rhinestones and  mounted ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the pad.

imageFor my second card, that I call ‘Jolly Holly’ I took the red brick paper from the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad and mounted it on Stone Weave card and Cherry Weave card to form a tent fold. I added a strip of decorative Holly Garland border to the top of the card and added a square of Script paper from the pad.

I then mounted the topper from the Family Time paper which I had mounted on the red embossed paper from the 6″ pad.  I mounted this on foam pads and tucked the large red holly leaf from the Silent Night Collectables Pack. I then fussy cut several holly leaves from the pad and added red pearl drops to the berries. At the bottom I added a large mistletoe collectable and coloured the berries with clear stickles. I then added another ‘postage stamp’ from the pad and added a few extra berries with a final flourish of fussy cut holly leaves.

imageFinally I added   the Holly Jolly sentiment from the pad that I inked with the Red Gum ink pad and mounted it on a small scrap of paper from the pad too.

imageSo that’s it for today.. I hope it’s inspired you to get this lovely collection to make all the cards you could need for this festive season.
