A heritage layout using Blue Bay

Hi everyone,

Pam here with another layout using the great Blue Bay collection.

For this layout I decided to concentrate on using the neutral papers in the collection.

2015-01-31 16.24.20For my base layer I used the peeled paint side of the Sapphire paper. I added a torn strip of Lagoon paper down the right hand side, and some random strips of paper from the collection adhered horizontally. I then spread some gesso over the top to blend the papers together.
2015-01-31 15.40.44Adding some stamping over the top helps to pull all the patterns together also. I used the Morocco stamp on this layout.
2015-01-31 15.42.36I flicked some paint splatters, and stamped the black ring from Stains texture stamp.I cut two images from the Misty paper, the verandah image and the luggage image, to embellish the layout.  I also used some of the sticker strips from this sheet, to add further interest to the layout. Finally, I added some die cut journalling cards, and Voila-the finished layout:

2015-01-31 16.24.20I’m really happy with this layout. I’ve used a heritage photo in a modern page layout and think it works very well. But what I love most of all is that this month, with the Blue Bay collection, I have created three layouts that are so different it’s hard to believe that were made from the same collection!
