A Limelight layout

Hi there,

I absolutely  LOVE the Limelight collection from Kaisercraft. I love the versatility of the  papers. In this one collection we have textures like the weathered wood and burlaps patterns, we have botanical leaves and florals, and we have more graphic designs like damask, circles and type papers. All this means it is possible to make a selections of layouts that all have a very different feel from each other.

I wanted to give my layout showing my son’s school photo a masculine feel. If you look closely at some of the designs in the collection, there is a school feel to them-from the number line and clock faces, to the dictionary definitions, so these elements support the school theme well, without being too obvious or twee.

The only element of the  layout that isn’t from the Limelight collection is the ScrapFX crossword stencil through which I stencilled some gesso.

In addition to the papers, and some Diecuts I also used one of the stamps from the collection:

Clear Stamps - Limelight Collection

I used the date stamp on my background .. You will notice that I overlapped the stamp as I wasn’t trying to use the stamp as a date stamp, but rather I was wanting to add some horizontal lines to help support the design of the page.

I hope this has given you some different ideas about how to use the wonderfully versatile Limelight collection.
