Basecoat IV scrapbook layout

Hi everyone,

Elaine here again bringing you a layout using the Basecoat IV collection and mixed media products.

imageTo start my layout, I took the Mini Mix Designer Stencil  and used the brick effect to create a diagonal line two thirds of the way across the page using the Ranger Texture Paste on the Bluestone Patterned Paper from the Basecoat IV collection.

imageI then cut several random bricks from the Brickwork Paper and mounted them on Mounting Tape to raise them above the stencilled pattern.

Next I took my photo and also mounted that on the same foam tape on the cut sections of bricks. I rounded the corners of my photo with a corner rounder for the authentic ’70’s vintage feel’! As it is from

I then took several collectables from the Generations Collectable Pack and arranged these around the photo. To give these a little extra interest I curled them around my fingers to give them a little dimension and used acrylic glue to hold them in place.

I then added several blooms from my stash, although similar are available here and included Aubergine and Terracotta mini blooms.

imageI then added Daffodil Sparklets and Bronze Rhinestones for a bit of glitz together with a smattering of Cheesecloth Gauze tucked into the clusters.

For the title I used another collectable from the Generations Pack and I then covered the photo for protection and added splatters of White Acrylic Paint, which I watered down and applied by tapping  the paintbrush towards the layout. When I removed the covering from the photo I finished the layout with some journalling on a die cut collectable.

This collection is so worthwhile to have in your stash as it is so versatile and is a wonderful way to use up your collectables..or why not treat yourselves to some new ones?
