Chase Rainbows Mixed Media Layout

Hi, It’s Pam here.

This time I’m going to show you a layout that I had a lot of fun making, using Chase Rainbows:

Pride_edited-1So here’s some of the steps to make the layout.

First I used the centre part of the Lace Doily stencil with some modelling paste to add some texture. If you don’t have modelling paste you could use gesso-(or even pollyfilla, but I wouldn’t know whether or not that was acid free). When the modelling paste was dry, I added some squirts of Kaisermist. The background paper is Tone.august1

When the mist was dry it was time to add some stamps. I used the doily semicircle from the coordinating stamp set. Of course you need two semicircles together to give you the circle impression. If you look closely you will see that I have stamped three ways. Firstly I stamped the turquoise doilies using a Kaisercrafts mini ink pad. The pink watery impression was made by squirting the stamp with KaiserMists and stamping with the mist. I really like the watery impression you get with that technique. Finally I stamped with black Stazon ink.august4After that I die cut some circles of paper, and machine stitched them in place.
august3I attached my photo and attached the transparency on top with washi tape.august5I also used a strip of plasterer’s tape to attach the bottom of the transparency.

Then I layered on some of the die cut collectables.

So that’s how I made my fun filled mixed media layout.

I hope you like it!
