Happy Smiles with Old Mac
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your Easter, Denise here with my last projects using the “Old Mac” Kaisercraft Collection. I’ve made these using some left over scraps of paper so I got the most from all the collection.
First I made a little card using the leftover papers.
I used a 6 x 6 Kraft card for this, scoring and folding the left front down the middle to create a ‘foldback’.
Next I cut some of the Homegrown, Yee Ha, Acres and Rusty papers into strips and shapes to cover the card, feature on the right hand side then used the middle from the Doilies Decorative Die to mount a heart and butterfly on to the left hand side of the foldback. To finish off I used some gems and a sentiment from my stash.
The Layout.
I used a piece of Kraft card as the base then used some strips of Homegrown paper underneath a piece of Cherry Weave card which I cut down to 11″ x 11″.
Next I cut some of the Woven Die Cut paper from Coastal Escapes collection into strips then back- filled some of them with the rust dotty side of the Yee Ha paper to add a bit of interest.
I also punched some hearts and butterflies from leftover pieces of Homegrown and Acres papers and cut some tiny triangles.
My photo was matted onto some Homegrown gingham style paper and placed in the middle over the woven die cut strips.
Next I added a few sequins and gems together with some sentiments from the sticker sheet then sprayed around the whole layout with Antique Gold Kaisermist
Finally I added my journalling at the side.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these and the other projects from the team this month and don’t forget to pop back soon for some more inspiration.
