High Tide Scrapbook Layout

Today I am bringing you a scrapbook page made with the lovely, nautically themed, High Tide collection that I have found far more versatile than I originally gave it credit for and has turned out to be so useful for a good range of photos.

imageTo begin with I used the ‘Mast sheet’ from the High Tide paper collection and I used the Anchors Away stencil to create some ‘fishing nets’ with the Ranger texture paste.

imageI then took the ‘Sailor’ sheet and tore the striped section from it and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Faded Jeans

Next I took the High Tide stamp set and stamped the ships wheel, Lighthouse saying and rope knot onto white smooth cardstock and fussy cut each out. I then took some scraps from the co-ordinating High Tide 6.5″ paper pad which I then layered beneath the photo that I had matted on more smooth white card, tucking the ships wheel behind the right of the matted photo.

To create the cluster on the bottom left I added the stamped rope knot, dies from the High Tide collectables pack . I added a twist of white and gold twine and some cheesecloth to mimic some fisherman’s netting together with some starfish, shells, KC Iceberg blooms, pearls and another quote from the paper pad.  I created a similar cluster in the top right of the photo.

I then used a border punch to ‘chomp’ three pieces out of the sides and added a cluster of seaside embellishments and the stamped Lighthouse quote with a twirl of hemp twine finishing with another, smaller, cluster of KC blooms all backed with a slice of yellow Cheddar Weave cardstock behind.

imageThe title of ‘Let your Adventure begin today’ was a mixture of one of the collectables sayings from the pack and the bottomof one of the sheets and the quote beneath the photo was from the High Tides sticker sheet

To finish it all off I splattered a thin film of yellow acrylic paint for the finishing touch.

I hope it inspires you to try these new products
