I have been playing with the very pretty Periwinkle this month. It has soft hues which is perfect for the Autumn and compliments so many types of photos.
Actually, my photos are from our summer holiday in Cornwall and that rare photo of my DD and DH together (he does try to avoid the camera at all costs!). Incidentally, I converted my photos using PicMonkey.com which is a brilliant on-line photo editing site – so easy to use that I’ve almost stopped using Photoshop!
I love the various frames that are on the some of the papers and die-cuts. I used the 6 1/2″ paper pad and cut out several frames to go along the bottom of my layout. They’re perfect for little details.
For the main part of the layout, I went for a central, symmetrical design using a large frame as my photo mat before spreading flowers, stickers and die-cuts. I used several types of flowers and leaves that I had in my stash (for a very long time). Just mix whatever you can find layering as you go. To add a little more texture, I ripped up some bandage before sticking everything down.
I am a huge fan of envelopes and I’m currently obsessed with velum. This tiny envelope is a simple 2 1/2″ square of velum which is scored diagonally to form the envelope. I tucked in the overlay transparency – just love how it is all see-through.
