Emmy here with my final project for May featuring the lovely Sea Breeze collection from Kaisercraft and Kaisercolour Gel Pens (available at Merly Impressions online store) . To create the background I used different papers – Kaisercard Mineral Weave Cardstock and Raindrop pattern paper. I cut off 0,5 cm from each side of the Raindrop pattern paper and adhered it to the cardstock using Kaisercraft 6mm Double-sided Tape.
I decided to frame my design creating a faux stitch frame using Kaisercolour Gel Pens (Copper Glitter). I drew some stitch like lines to connect the blue flowers. It doesn’t really matter what kind of doodled stitches you are going to use as long as you are having fun drawing them! And trust me when using the Kaisercolour Gel Pens, especially the glittery ones, the fun is guaranteed! Then I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold, White and Aqua on top of both layers.I stamped the design on my background using Clear Stamp – Lattice, Clear Stamps set matching the Sea Breeze collection and Ink Pad – Brown.
To create the 3D paper design I used the Waterfall pattern paper. I fussy cut the elements, embossed them slightly with Embossing Tool and adhered them, as shown on the picture below, using Mounting Foam Tape. To decorate some of them I added a green circle sticker from the Sticker Sheet. I layered my picture on a 10 x 15 cm piece from the Sea pattern paper and ruffled the edges of both layers using Paper Distresser.
To decorate my page I used various sticker sayings from the Sticker Sheet. I divided the stickers in parts, inked their edges and adhered them with Mounting Foam Tape to the background. For the flower cluster I used Paper Blooms – Terracotta and Mini Paper Blooms – Coconut. I die cut the leaves using Decorative Die – Mini Foliage with Kaisercard Coffee Bean Weave Cardstock and Waterlilly pattern paper. I arranged die cut flowers and leaves from the Collectables pack to finish the flowery corners. To match the colours in the picture and the doodled stitch frame, I coloured the stamens of the printed flowers. To complete my design I added more stickers… … and Rhinestones – Copper. I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
Have fun creating and don’t forget to come back in June to check the new Kaisercraft collections!
