Hello everyone, it’s Pam here.
This month I am using the stunning ‘Ma Cherie’ collection from Kaisercraft. This collection is so pretty with a mostly muted grey and pink colour scheme and features flowers, butterflies, and damask patterns. When I looked at the papers the Bamboo Foil paper immediately caught my eye, and I decided to try something a bit different, and go for gold! I must apologise for the photos in this post-it is very hard to get a good balance between the bright reflective gold, and the black of the paper, and to be honest I don’t think the photographs do this layout justice.
Then I applied some foil papers that I had in my stash. The application wasn’t perfect, but I don’t mind that. I also applied some gold acrylic paint randomly through some sequin waste. Finally I spritzed some gold mist over the page. While that was drying, I set about making my embellishments gold. I painted some flowers with gold acrylic paint and misted some of the die cut collectables.I used a doily die to cut a doily from the gold embossed paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I painted the outside of my photo with gold acrylic paint also.
Here is a close up of my embellishments-some gold leaves, some mesh ribbon, the gold painted flowers and a little die cut bird from the collectables pack. Finally I added some dots of gold Stickles and some adhesive rhinestones.
I hope the close ups give you some idea of this golden glimmery layout.
