Hello!

I hope you are all well! Today I will take you through making a Layout in a magazine look style! The Mister Fox Collection is just perfect for it!

So here it is:

Now, let’s get started!

You will need a white cardstock base, Mister Fox collection, newspapers, white Gesso, yellow Acrylic paint and black Acrylic paint, Dylusions Ink Spray by Tim Holtz (Lemon Zest), some Washi tape, Ink Pen, Scissors and glue.

We need to cut out a few circles in different sizes (as seen on the photo).

This is how we are going to place our circles and a page from a newspapers (please do not glue it yet!)

Begin by only gluing the newspaper and adding white gesso onto it.

Then spray yellow Dylusions ink onto the top of the Gesso.

Time to glue the circles…

and highlight some of the circles with a black ink pen.

Now, add some strips of paper and washi tape.

Using some acrylic paint mixed with some water, paint over the top of the strips.

DSC_1276Using acrylic paints again (both colours) splash a few drops around.

Glue the picture and the title down.

Using the Mister Fox stamp set, I have placed one of them under my photo, and highlighted it with the black arrows .

As you can see, I’ve also used the numeric stamp around the paper strips to give it a nice finish.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. Layouts don’t always have to be made out of nice colour papers; we can sometimes make them look more realistic, just like a page from a Newspaper !

have a good day

hugs xxx
