Mix & Match

It’s good to mix and match – to stretch the possibilities of your stash. The Pickled Pear Collection is an eclectic mix of delightful images. I love how the vintage style isn’t old fashioned and not too girly – important in our house where even my DD can be a little tom-boy like.

In this layout I wanted a vintage style but with a more edgy look to it – something more modern. To do this I used the Willow paper with the plank effect as my base.

I layered stamps next – The Pickled Pear foliage stamps first in blue, before overstamping with Numbers. This technique is great as you only ink up part of the stamp and try to get an uneven image.

By adding more stamps below the photo it makes a great base for the embellishments. I layered elements from the Collectables and various flowers and leaves. Did you notice the cool journal strips? They look just like Dymo strips only you peel them off the Sticker Sheet and voila! Gently bend them in the middle for a real designer touch.

You can see the brand new Boutique Button from The Vintage Garden collection. I adore these original vintage images  –  they are so delicate yet vibrant.

Check out the tiny weeny lettering! The Tiny alphabet sheet contains loads of little letters for extra-cute journaling!

Thanks for dropping in.
