My Year, My Story – In Print.

Hi Everyone,

Linda here with another layout featuring the versatile My Year, My Story Collection from Kaisercraft.IMG_9873 smallThis one uses the D-ring multi pockets available for 12×12″ albums. This is a great place to start if you have not scrapped before as you work in smaller sizes which can be less daunting.

My tip would be to cut and add pieces to the pockets before starting, example below, as this allows you to get an idea of how the finished project will look.

I began by placing 4 6×4″ photographs, then, starting in the top right, chose elements from the Cactus paper, flowing into Shine bottom left (left hand page).

IMG_9874 smallI moved and replaced elements until I was happy then inked with Mowed Lawn and Fossilized Amber. Words, pictures and shapes from the Collectables were then added along with some raffia, ribbon and thread from my collection.

IMG_9875 smallI then repeated the process on the right hand page merging papers from Lilac into Raspberry. The edges on this side were inked with Seedless Preserve and Picked Raspberry.

The leftover papers were then punched with a variety of Martha Stewart and Stampin’ Up punches, starting with the smallest in shades of green, into the yellows, then purple – Kaisercard lilac – then pink and the largest size – to create a swathe across the double page.

Gems were added as bodies on the butterflies.
