Secret Admirer

The winter months can be so drab, so now is a  lovely time to scrap those warmer days!

Secret Admirer is the most stunning of collections from Kaisercraft. The bright jewel colours and stunning images make this their best collection.

For my layout, I started by creating a frame using Flirtatious, I used two border punches and because it is double-sided, I can use the same sheet to create an interesting layer.

Using Demure as my base I pushed some texture paste through a stencil just to add more texture and interest. I use a palette knife to spread the paste trying to make the edges uneven as you don’t want a big block of paste. Once dry, rub in Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to colour.  Next layer up the Collectables Icons and create a few more flags for a second row.  Add a Boutique Button from The Vintage Garden to finish.

For the focal point, cut out a doily from Coy to use as a photo mat. Add partial rub-ons for more texture before layering the Collectables Icons.

Finally punch leaves and arrange before adding paper blooms, rhinestones and stickers to finish.

Birdcages are still really popular and these are just gorgeous. I have used one from the Collectables Icons and the other comes from the Sticker Sheet before topping off with mini Paper Blooms.

You can find the complete Secret Admirer collection on the Merly Impressions website.

Thanks for popping in.
