Silent Night Christmas Scrapbook layout

Today I’m bringing you this festive layout using the Silent Night Kaisercraft Collection.

imageFirst I took a sheet of Kraft Card and lightly ‘swiped’ white and gold acrylic paints gently across the page to alter the ‘flatness’ of it. I then gutted an 8″ square from it to use later.

imageTaking a sheet of ‘Making a List’ paper I fussy cut the Santa from the bottom corner. With the remainder of the sheet I cut it down to a 10″ square and used Antique Gold Mist and some white mist to moisten it and I then distressed the edges, rolling some of the edges into a V where I added ‘Holly Jolly’ and ‘Tis the Season’ stickers from the sticker sheet.

I then took a large doily and inked the edges with the Red Gum ink pad and added a circle of the ‘Sing Carols’ paper from the 6.5 ” paper pad which was also inked with Red Gum. I also added a circle of pine cones from the sticker sheet.

Once the cluster of silk ivy leaves  was added I finished it off with fussy cut holly leaves from the ‘Down the Chimney’ paper and added holly corners from the Silent Night collectables pack. I then mounted the photo on some of the previously gutted card and added it  ( it’s of one of my dogs enjoying a snooze in front of our fire).  I then added some rhinestones and some red stickles as holly berries and some red stocking flowers.

imageI then mounted the Santa that I had cut earlier from the ‘Making a List’ sheet on foam pads and added him back in his original location. I took several expressions from the collectables pack and added the ‘Christmas Memories’ collectable as the title after mounting it on some more of the Kraft CS I had gutted from the original sheet.

Finally  I took took some of the wood flourishes from the Flourish Pack-Joy and added red gum ink and clear embossing powder and added them in the rolled V’s at the edges with some more fussy cut holly leaves and berries.

Once I’d added the date I was finished. I hope you like?
