Here is a scrapbook layout using the very pretty Glisten Kaisercraft collection with lots of fussy cutting, rhinestones, wooden flourishes and some lucky dip items too.Firstly I used a sheet of Coconut weave cardstock and painted it all over with a white crackle paint. Once it was dry I took the Shimmering Glitter Paper that is just oozing glimmer and glitz and pretty snowflakes. I wanted a margin around the edges so I cut it down to a 10″ square and layered it to the cardstock. Then, just to add a little more glamour (!) I then took a Tim Holtz layering stencil and added a few blue glimmer paste stars.
I knew I also wanted to do some fussy cutting of the snowflakes so I cut a panel from the Shimmering Glitter Paper and fussy cut the snowflakes from it. I then took the photograph and matted it on the awesome Platinum Glitter card to make it pop and used it to cover the gutted panel from the background paper. The great thing about this glitter card is the fact it is a great weight and, best of all, the glitter doesn’t come off! I then took another piece of the glitter card and cut a 3″ x 8″ rectangle and punched more snowflakes from the right hand edge. I then added a full length strip of pretty, decorative, lace.
I then layered some silver paper doilies beneath the photo mat and started adding the fussy cut snowflakes. I also took some wooden snowflakes from the Flourish Pack and heat embossed them with Silver UTEE. I finally added a small cluster of the matching elements in the bottom left hand corner and finished the whole layout with additional snowflakes, glittery touches, pearls, white pom poms and silver rhinestones together with a ready made silver ‘Happy Christmas’ title.
