Stamps, stamps glorious stamps!

When Chrissy told us what this month’s challenge was, I jumped for joy! My new phrase stamps had arrived and I couldn’t wait to play!

So out came the heat gun and the embossing powder and I set to work. My idea was inspired by pop art (repetition of image) and also subway art (stacked text) I stamped the phrase six times with embossing ink and alternately embossed the phrases in pink and white. I then ran a paint brush dipped in coral pink ink over the embossed images and the paper.

The circles were die cut from the 6.5″x6.5″ Spring Bloom paper pad. After adding the obligatory flicks and twine I decided that I was pretty much finished. So, I took a photo and then realised the light was not great so I would wait and take more photos.

The layout sat on my desk for a couple of days, and every time I walked into my room I would add another little detail to the layout. So that in the end it looked like this:

There really isn’t an awful lot more added to it but I think it looks more ‘finished’. So what is the difference?

I have added a tab from the Spring Blooms Collectables pack and stamped a word onto it. I have used the Numbers Background Stamp and the Lattice Texture Stamp; I didn’t use an acrylic block I just squidged parts of it down with my hands.

More stamping and another of the Collectable bits….so sweet and wood veneers from my stash.

And yet another of the gorgeous Collectables!

So you can see, what a difference a little bit of stamping can make to your layout :) Thank goodness for cloudy days!

Thanks for popping in today,
