Standing Proud

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying a lovely Bank Holiday Monday.

I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Antique Bazaar Collection this month which fit perfectly with some photographs taken of my Dad recently wearing his war medals.

I began with Restore and used a lovely Damask Stencil in the top left corner spritzing with Antique Gold Kaiser Mist. It gave such a gorgeous shimmer with great coverage!

There was a sentiment in the bottom right corner which I wanted to save for another project so I tore it off and added a section of Unearth behind.

The Limited paper has a lovely section of faux stone which I cut and added about 1.5″ from the bottom. Next, the Bronze die cut paper where I cut out the centre leaving the scroll work and clock face. This was placed onto the base with 3D foam tape.

Having placed the photo, mounted on the Collectors sheet from the 6.5″ pad (I love how these are scaled down to size!) under the edge of the clock face, I then tucked some postcards from the Collectables set alongside plus a tag and a faux button.

I had some paper roses but they were Terracotta so I dabbed them with Festive Berries Distress Stain to change them to red then spritzed them with the Antique Gold Kaiser Mist for some shimmer. Once dried these were added bottom left and top right along with some fronds cut with the Decorative Die Foliage and papers from the 6.5″ pad.

The sentiment and frame were in The Collectibles pack along with many clock faces which I added up the right hand side with more of the faux buttons.

Some punched leaves and blooms (Martha Stewart) were randomly added with Copper Kaisercraft pearls. The buttons and some of the clock faces were then treated to a liberal layer of Crystal Lacquer which gives such an amazing glaze – you can see the shine in the buttons above!

Finally I added a strip of words from the Sticker Sheet at the top.

I’m off to see what else I can spray with the mist now, where did that cat go? Only Joking! – watch this space and check back to see my fellow DT’s beautiful pages!

Take care,
