Sun shine and salt water – Sail Away

Hi Everyone, Linda here, hope you are well.

I’ve had the pleasure of playing with the stunning Sail Away collection this month which was perfect as I’ve just returned from a holiday by the sea.

I began this page with Lighthouse, using the wood grain side to which I added a 2 1/2″ strip of Cruise and 1″ strip of Ship from the Paper Pad @ 1/2 way down. Words from the Sticker sheet cover the join.

IMG_9579.smallA 6″ strip of the Nautical paper came next keeping the rope vertical which was mounted onto Navy Kaisercraft cardstock. The Die Cut Compass paper was trimmed and placed onto the page behind the rope paper at a slight angle.

IMG_9581.smallStarfish from the Paper pad was ripped into pieces approximately 1″ wide with a raw edge both sides, then placed around my photo which is 7×5″ to create a frame. This was raised using mounting tape. String was then added with dots of wet glue to create a natural shape along with a tied bow.

IMG_9582.smallA tag from The Collectables was inked and added to the frame with s staple at the top.

IMG_9583. smallAnd a sentiment from Rope, mounted onto Navy cardstock,  added to the bottom with more mounting tape, along with a further tag which was also stapled.

A sentiment from the Sticker Sheet completed the layout along with some Ice blue gems to highlight the Compass points.

Back soon with some more but don’t forget to check back later in the week for more inspiration from the DT.

Take Care,

~ Linda ~
