Thankful with Barber Shoppe

Hi everyone,

Denise here with another layout using th fabulous Kaisercraft  Barber Shoppe Collection.

056I started with Licorice Kaisercard for my base.

Next, I took the Artifacts self embossed glossy paper and starting with Black Soot distress ink went round the edges very slightly. Next I took Chipped Sapphire distress ink and went all over the design, it’s great watching the design come to life as you ink over it. Next I took some Frayed Burlap ink and went over with that too.  I was going for a kind of vintage feel.

002004048Once I had inked all over I then cut the paper into three strips. I used one at the top of the layout and one at the bottom. I cut some items from the last strip that was left to use for embellishments on the page which were raised up on foam tape.

052 034Next I used a strip of the Beard paper across the middle of the layout attaching the strips of inked Artisan at the top and bottom.

My photo which was 6 x 4 inches was initially matted on to a piece of Comb paper then layered with two fanned pieces of Beard paper and finally a piece of Razor paper using the black side which looks embossed .

Across where the papers joined at the bottom I used a strip from the sticker sheet which looks like an old ruler and then used some of the old aeroplane stickers from the same sheet on top of the ruler border.

055From the Sticker Sheet I cut some wording, inked around the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink then mounted it on to foam tape.

I used lots of die cuts from the Collectables pack to layer around my photo as embellishments.

045Finally I took  some of the Antique Gold Kaisermist and sprayed over the layout after taking the lid off and using the applicator to drip some onto the layout too.

054I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into how I made the layout and that it may have inspired you. There will be lots more coming your way from the team with some amazing new collections.
