Having just had (I’m not sure celebrated is the right word) a significant birthday I am struck by just how quickly time passes the older we get. So it seemed fitting to make a layout which references this fact. And I was brave and decided to do a layout featuring me – and not just one photo but a whole 5 of them!! So that little diecut on the layout that says ‘Be Brave, Take Risks’ is appropriate!
I’ve kept this layout simple, with lots of white space, but there are in fact quite a few layers at play here. On the bottom I have some stamping using the Art of Life Clear Stamps and the Film Edges Stamps. I did some fussy cutting from the Creative 12×12 patterned paper :
Under my photo I layered some of the Art of Life Collectables diecuts, and also used some to embellish the layout.
Over the photos I’ve adhered a strip of the Negative Acetate from the Art of Life collection.
I absolutely LOVE the Art of Life collection. There’s just one problem though – every side of the patterned paper is gorgeous, and you know what that means? Yes – you have to buy double!!
Here’s a little photo sequence showing how the layout developed.
Hope you enjoyed my Art of Life layout.
