Linda here with another layout using the fabulous Fiesta Collection.
This page got me thinking and raised the question – how do you start your layout?
Do you choose the papers or the photograph(s) first, do you draw a sketch first or just start cutting?
Well, the answer for this particular page came from one of the papers………
I liked the sentiment and the shape so cut this from Arriba, which decided me on hexagons.
I chose my photo and then took some Watermelon Kaisercard trimmed to 7×5″ and embossed it with the Flourish Kaisercraft folder, then trimmed to 1″ creating a frame.
The Amigo Gloss paper was the perfect base for this, my photo frame was added to the top left side, with the sentiment on 3D foam bottom right.
With a Stampin’ up punch I added lots of hexagons from Tequila, Sombrero & Watermelon Kaisercard which I had textured with the small Geo embossing folder. Some are raised on foam tape for dimension.
A little piece of white lace was added with stems from the foliage die and a Martha Stewart punch in Coconut Kaisercard and punched flowers from Pinata.
Hot Pink Pearls, small punched flowers and butterflies were added with lovely gold stickles in the centres. Finally some lovely words from The Collectables pack.
So, back to the question – where do you start when creating your pages?
Check back soon for the new releases – very exciting!
