August 2012 Card Challenge

It is the 7th of the month so it is time for a new card challenge at Merly Impressions and this month I challenge you to this…

So for this month I challenge you to use Acetate on (or for) your card! However much or little! I thought of this challenge as I always buy acetate as I love the look of them but once it arrive I struggle to actually use them!!! So I was challenged by this as much as you!!! And here is my card:

On my card I used the Kaisercraft Timeless Four Corners Acetate but you can use any acetate you choose. I hope that I inspired you and that I will see many of you take part!!!

The prize is a gorgeous Save the Date Paper Pad and Save the date Colour Rub-ons!

Emilie has looked through all the entries in the Merly Impressions Card Challenge for July and picked a winner from among a great selection of entries. She has chosen a winner that she thinks cleverly uses the red, white and blue colour scheme while also representing national pride. So we can now announce…

July 2012 Card Challenge

We have been getting a few requests for a card challenge and as we love challenges here it is – our first ever Card Challenge!

As you know the summer is usually a time of national celebrations around the world with the likes of Independence Day in America and Bastille Day in France but the summer of 2012 is a huge celebration of Britain with the Jubilee and the London Olympics taking place. So for this challenge we decided to go all “Pride of Britain” with a colour combination challenge:

So we are asking you to create a card (any size, shape or style) following this combination of red, white and blue and as I am not one to leave you without an example here is my card:

I used some gorgeous bits from the Miss Match paper pad as well as the “Cherish” and the “Number background” stamps.

The prize is a gorgeous Vintage Timeless paper pad! I really can’t wait to see your entries!
