All occasions cards with Daydreamer

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with my first blog post for July. This month I have the pleasure to create with the bright and very cheerful Daydreamer collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). The fun and positive quotes this collection is filled with, make it perfect for creating any occasion cards. Today I’m also sharing a quick and fun way to create extra layers using the newest Kaisercraft Texture Dies.MI-July-cards-web -530

To create the card bases I used Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock. For the rest of the layers I used Kaisercard Licorice Weave Cardstock and pattern paper from the Paper Pad. Before adhering the layers together, I ruffled their edges and sprinkled KaiserMist on top of them (White, Peach and Charcoal). Then I used Mounting Foam Tape to secure then onto the card base.

Using Kaisercard Weave Cardstock and Texture Dies (Texture Diamonds and Texture Hessian) I created a base layer for my embellishments.MI-July-cards-det-a (4)

I took the quotes from the Paper Pad and the Collectables packMI-July-cards-det-a (8)MI-July-cards-det-a (3)For the shaking envelop I used a self-adhesive keepsake envelope, which I filled with Rhinestone Sparklets after I carefully removed the glue dot from them.

The rest of the die-cut elements are from the Collectables packMI-July-cards-det-a (9) MI-July-cards-det-a (7)As a final touch I added Rhinestones – SilverRhinestones – Black and Epoxy Stickers – Sea Breeze.

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a lovely creative weekend!

Notelet and card holder using High Tea collection

Hi everyone,

Elaine here again and this time I’m bringing you a notelet/card holder and 11 notelets made using the gorgeous High Tea Kaisercraft collection.

image imageTo make this I scoured You Tube to find a good tutorial and I finally came across this tutorial here which will give you all the dimensions you need to replicate the item.

To make the cover I used white cardstock and folded it as per the instructions in the video and ended up with these pieces.

image imageThen I set about covering them with the papers from the High Tea collection. The inside I covered using the Tea Time sheet mounted on to Kaisercard Flamingo and a piece of floral patterned paper from the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad on the spine.

For the outside I used more of the Tea Time paper mounted on to the same card.. (please ignore the pink spotty background..it’s my desk!)

imageAfter covering the outside I made a belly band using more of the Flamingo card and added two of the collectables from the pack. I also used the Berry Mini Ink Pad to edge the patterned paper and card.imageTo make the notelets I used this wonderful tutorial from Kaisercrafts design team member, Colette Mitrega where she uses a One Sheet Wonder template here

TemplateThere will be a little bit of trimming to make your template fit the cards as the cards I made were slightly smaller than the ones in Colette’s tutorial.  I ended up with this selection of cards.

image

image image imageI chose the Tea Leaves paper as my ‘one sheet’  and on each of the notes or cards I have used a collectable from the collectables pack or a pop out die cut from the 6.5 x 6.5 ” paper pad and finished off with stickers from the sticker sheet together with Hot Pink Rhinestones.

I hope you like this set.. I think they would make a wonderful gift for someone!

Enjoy!

Hanami Garden Box Birthday Card

Hi all

Every now and again a collection comes along that you think.. ‘Wow! That is a really special collection’ and the new Hanami Garden is one of those. so today I’m pleased to be bringing you this box card made using this stunning oriental themed range.

Full CardTo begin with I used this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers  for the base using Tomato Weave Kaisercard. Having made the box  I then took my 12′ collection pack and selected the Kireina sheet and cut to size. I then mounted these on Licorice Kaisercard and ended up with this.

Plain cardI then took the co-ordinating Mini Designer Bamboo Stencil and stamped through it onto a sheet of vellum, surrounding it with a frame, cut with a craft knife. I then heat embossed it with black sparkly embossing powder and centred it on the back panel.

Screen at backI then used several stickers from the sticker sheet, and die cuts from the collectable pack and the 6.5″ paper pad using strips of Acetate to adhere to the strips of card inside the box. I also chose several die cuts to decorate the outside flaps and used a little sisal to give extra dimension under the central flap dies.

From the topThe beauty of this box card is that it also fold flat for posting!

closedcardI do hope you’ve liked this little tutorial and I hope it inspires you to have a go at something a little different! One thing is for certain, if you buy this beautiful collection you won’t be disappointed! It really is versatile with it’s red, pink, black and gold there is something in there for everyone.

I also used Kid paper and added lovely Iceberg paper blooms, Denim pearls and cheese cloth. I die-cut doilies from Coconut Weave cardstock and added touches of white gesso and glitter onto the designs to finish.

A trio of Party Time cards

Today I’m bringing you three very different cards yet all made using the versatile Party Time Kaisercraft collection.

imageFirstly I made this twist and pop card here for a male birthday.

image

image

imageI was inspired by this tutorial here on the Kaisercraft blog from their talented design team member Colette Mitegra. She gives a wonderful description of how to make it so do pop over and have a look!

I used the Confetti paper from the collection for the inside (using Kaisercard Duck Egg For the base) and the embossing folder for the outside and I used the hemp cord for a finishing touch along with the emojis from the sticker sheet, the banner and bunting from the collectables pack and some Sunshine epoxy stickers.

To finish it off inside I used some sayings cut from the Hooray sheet and more stickers and some collectables from the Party Time pack.

I was also inspired to create one using the same method, using the gorgeous Glisten collection that we shared with you last month.

fullsizerender-73 fullsizerender-74To show how versatile the Party Time collection is I used the 6″ paper pad to create this card too.

imageIt is a simple Z card fold..(easily found in You Tube) and I added lots of elements from the sticker sheet and the collectables pack set on white card embossed with the embossing folder . Perfect for a child don’t you think?

Finally I made this card using the pleat fold method (also easily found on You Tube) for the females in your life.

imageI used the embossed party time paper from the 6″ pad mounted on White Kaisercard and folded the Cotton Candy paper to create the folded central piece..(you need double sided paper for this) . I used the die cut scalloped border from the 6″ pad and added the sentiment from the collectables pack and the two die cut roses from the pack to finish it off.

It is rare to find a pack so adaptable for so many occasions so this collection has gone straight to the top of my favourites list!

Have fun!

Elaine
