Fancy Advent Calendar with Christmas Wishes

Hello everybody!

Emmy here today with a brand new Beyond the Page project to share. With only three months until the Christmas Season, it is time to start thinking about the decorations, the tree and the presents of course. Every year we add one new piece to our Christmas collection – a sparkly bauble, a nativity scene from a place far far away or something cute that the kids created at school. When I saw Kaisercraft’s Beyond the Page – Advent Calendar  I thought I have to have it! So, I decided to decorate it and use it for our December scavenger hunt this year.

And of course, the best collection to use is Kaisercraft’s “Christmas Wishes” (available at Merly Impressions online store). mi-advent-calendar-web-530For the background I used Fur Tree pattern paper. I decorated the tree using fussy cut decorations from a glossy paper from the Paper Pad and Rhinestones – Antique RoseChampagne and Lilacotp-advent-det-iFor the sentiment I used a card from the Christmas Card pattern paper. I layered it on top of a slightly larger piece of pattern paper and a die cut frame. I adhered the framed sentiment using Mounting Foam Tape.

otp-advent-det-jI used various pattern papers from the Paper Pad and the Paper Pack to cover the small boxes. After adhering the pattern paper to the box front, I inked all the edges with Tea Dye distress ink pad from Mini Distress Ink Pad Kit 11. Then I decorated them with Rhinestones and sticker words from the Sticker Sheetotp-advent-det-hI used the digits from the set, which I altered with Gold embossing powder. otp-advent-det-m-1To embellish the Advent Calendar further I used die cuts from the Collectables pack and stickers from the Sticker Sheetotp-advent-det-m-2 otp-advent-det-kTo create the presents I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad and organza ribbon.otp-advent-det-lI hope you enjoyed today’s post!

Christmas Moments with Christmas Wishes

Hello everybody!

Emmy here with my latest creation with Kaisercraft’s “Christmas Wishes” collection (available at Merly Impressions online store). And I’m loving the pastel colours and all the shiny baubles and tiny decorations!mi-something-special-web-530For my background I used Fur Tree pattern paper and Kaisercard Pebble Weave Cardstock. To create the dimensional pattern I used the Festive Quarters 12×12 Stencil (the square with ornaments) and glitter modelling paste. Once the modelling paste has dried, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink Antique GoldWisteria and White on top.mi-something-special-det-a-1To embellish my page I fussy cut Christmas decorations in different colours and used die cuts from the Paper Pad and the Collectables packmi-something-special-det-a-2I altered the decorations by adding pears (Pearls – Champagne) and Stickles – Star Dust and Stickles – Gold. I adhered all of the embellishments with Mounting Foam Tape.

Then I decided to trim the tree. To create the layered under my picture I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad and fussy cut doilies from the Pretty Doilie foil paper. I used different sticker stripes (Sticker Sheet) to add some heartwarming Christmas messages to my page.

Making Memories with Christmas Wishes

Hello everybody!

Emmy here with my first post for September and it is a Christmas one! Can you believe it? Christmas is still four months away, but Kaisercraft has already released their first Christmas collection for the season – “Christmas Wishes” (available at Merly Impressions online store). It is packed with fabulous elements to fussy cut and the colours are amazing!

MI-making-memories-web-530For my background I used Bauble Garland pattern paper and Kaisercard Pebble Weave Cardstock. I cut off 0.5 cm from each side of the pattern paper and adhered it on top of the cardstock. Then, using the Festive Quarters 12×12 Stencil (the square with ornaments) and glitter modelling paste I created the dimensional pattern. For the modelling paste you can mix Texture Paste – Transparent Gloss with Stickles Dry Glitter – Gold or use a ready made glitter modelling paste.

MI-making-memories-det-aOnce the modelling paste has dried, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold on top.

MI-making-memories-det-bTo embellish my layout I used various fussy cut elements, die cuts and stickers. The colourful doilies I fussy cut from the Pretty Doilie foil paper and the foil paper from the Paper Pad.MI-making-memories-det-c MI-making-memories-det-dFor the Christmas baubles and ornaments I used a foil paper from the Paper PadDecorations pattern paper and die cuts from the Collectables packMI-making-memories-det-e MI-making-memories-det-f MI-making-memories-det-hFor the green branches I used the Bauble Garland pattern paper and die cuts from the Collectables pack. To adhere them to the layout I used Mounting Foam TapeMI-making-memories-det-iTo finish off my design I added the title (Good Cheer pattern paper) and the sticker border (Sticker Sheet). As a final touch I added a few Rhinestones – Champagne.MI-making-memories-det-k MI-making-memories-det-lI hope you enjoyed today’s post!
