Believe in Fairies with Fairy Dust

Hello everybody,

Emmy here today with my third and final project for November. It is another layout full with fairies, butterflies, silver elements and flowers of course. All the papers are from Kaisercraft “Fairy Dust” collection and you can find all of the embellishments at Merly Impressions online store.  MI-believe-in-fairies-webFor my background I used Sparkly Pattern Paper Fairy Dust Collection. I sprinkled liquid silver ink on top of it and then I stamped the small butterfly and the dandelion from the Clear Stamp Set, using Adirondack Paint Dabber – Silver.MI-believe-in-fairies-det-a (1)To create the layers under my picture I used Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock and the Fairy Dust Mini Paper Pad. Love and Fairy Dust with Fairy Dust

Hello everybody,

Emmy here today with my second project for November. As you know this month I’ve got the absolute pleasure to work with Kaisercraft “Fairy Dust” collection (available at Merly Impressions online store) and I’m in love with all the fairies and fairy dust flying around my crafty room.MI-fairy-dust-webFor my background I used Pixie Pattern Paper Fairy Dust Collection, which I altered with Christmas Quarters 12×12 Stencil (the snowflakes quarter) and Texture Paste. After the Paste has dried, I sprinkled liquid silver ink on top of it.MI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (6)To create the layers under my picture I used Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock and Fairy Wishes Pattern Paper. I separated the fairy carefully from the pattern paper on one side and tucked my framed picture under it. I shaped all the layers using a cutting die and adhered them with Mounting Foam Tape to my background. MI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (7)I used die cut elements from both the Paper Pad and the Collectables Pack to decorate my page.MI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (2) MI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (5)And I also fussy cut fairies and butterflies from the foil paper from the Fairy Dust Mini Paper Pad and from the Flutter foil paper. The lilac flowers I fussy cut from the Enchanted Patter Paper. I also used various stickers from the 12″ Sticker SheetMI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (3)For my title I used a cut off strip from one of the pattern papers, which I layered on a greenish paper from the Mini Paper Pad.

MI-Fairy-Dust-det-a (4)To finish off my design I added Rhinestones – Silver to the die cut fairy stars.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a lovely week!

Layouts & Photos from November 2015 Crop

Many thanks to everyone who attended our November Merly 2015 crop.

We had such a fabulous day with lots of crafting and chatting. We hope everyone who attended also enjoyed the day and the kit.

The kit for November was based on the beautiful “Fairy Dust” collection from Kaisercraft and included instructions and stash to make two layouts that we called:

“Spread your Wings”.

And “Believe”

The kit is now available in the Merly Impressions shop – it can be found in the Layout Kits section of the website.

It was another very busy crop and it was good to catch up with everyone again. We also had some new ladies attend this month. We have taken some photo’s of the day, which you can see below.

Many thanks to Paul for making three fabulous cakes for us to snack on and thank you to Marion for her lovely mince pies, they all went down a treat.

See you all again in January 2016!! and we look forward to seeing your finished layouts over on the Merly Crop Facebook page.

Many thanks,

Chrissy   xXx

Our Little Princess with Fairy Dust

November 2015 Crop – Layout Preview

Hi everyone,

Here are the sneak peeks and details of the layouts for the Merly Impressions Crop on Saturday 21st November 2015 – 10am to 5pm.

The kit uses some of the papers & the Collectables pack from the lovely Kaisercraft collection Fairy Dust which features whimsical images of butterflies and dandelions with a touch of enchanted fairy magic.

The first layout, which I’ve called “Spread your Wings” uses one coloured photo measuring 10.5cm wide x 14cm high. A black & white photo would also work.

2015-11-13 13.35.14The second layout which I’ve called “Believe” also uses one coloured photo measuring 10.5cm wide x 14cm high . A black & white photo would also work.

2015-11-13 13.34.20Other items used on the layouts which you will need to bring are a greenish ink pad for inking round the edges, I have used the Kaisercraft Mini Ink Pad Lagoon, foam pads & black rhinestones. You will also need a needle for sewing (if you want to do it) and a small pair of scissors because there is some fussy cutting on both of the layouts. I have also used some Crystal Lacquer & Clear Glitter Glue on some of the embellishments. A similar product will also work although this is entirely optional. We will however have Crystal Lacquer, Clear Glitter Glue, ink pads, rhinestones & Foam dots/roll available to purchase in the on site  Merly shop. There is some misting & Die-cutiing, these items will also be supplied for people to use at the crop.

The Name cards are all ready!!

2015-11-12 16.01.37We will bring our usual supply of tools, including the Sew Easy Tools (which are used on the layouts), Big Shot, Dies, punches, etc, to the crop if people would like to use them to create their own title or cut out other embellishments. The Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page sets used on the layouts are called “Vintage Doily” & “Bubble Bath” if you have them and want to bring & use your own, we will however bring our sets for people to use.

For anyone who cannot join us on the day, the kit will be available to purchase online after the crop. It will contain detailed instructions for you to complete the two layouts.

The location of the crop, together with other details and future dates can be found on our Crop Dates page.

There will also be the usual FABULOUS Merly Impressions Shop where you can purchase all the latest Kaisercraft goodies.  Paul will be making a selection of yummy cakes, We will also bring biscuits, chocolates, tea and coffee & mince pies. Please bring your own lunch.

See you all on 21st November at 10am until 5pm. The cost of your seat is £7.50 and the kit is £12.50.

Happy scrapping!!

Chrissy, Paul & Merley xXx
