Kaisercraft Garage Days with Emmy

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with a new project to share. This time I decided to work with Kaisercraft “Garage Days” collection and when you see my picture, you will know why!

For my backgroud I used the Nuts and Bolts pattern paper from the Garage Days collection, a masking template with harlequin design and Tim Holtz “Broken China”  distress ink pad and a masking template with a star design with modeling paste.

Then I cut the Shield gloss die cut paper in two and added the red half to my layout, after I distressed its edges.

To create the banner and most of the embellishments I used the Collectables pack from the same collection. I tied the banner and the tags with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper String – black and white.

I used a chipboard piece to create my title. I altered it with a blue and a yellow embossing powders.

I distressed the edges of my pictures and layered it on a 10 x 15 cm Kaisercraft Coconut Weave cardstock and a 11 x 16 cm piece from the Tire Shop pattern paper.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!

Come back tomorrow for more Kaisercraft inspiration from our design team!

With Bags of Love

Hello, it’s Ali with you today.

I was lucky enough to be taken to lunch at a two Michelin starred restaurant recently 🙂 I wanted to give my Dad a little something to say thank you for such a lovely day. Believe it or not, he has a penchant for Aldi dark chocolate with hazelnuts so I picked up a few bars but wanted to make them look a bit more special…bring on the gift bag!

I have been playing with Garage Days this month. It is the perfect collection for the men in your life and has a lot of icons about dads…brilliant!

Gather your supplies together:

Bag 1

I am using Gas Tank 12×12: one of the 6×6 sheets, a die cut from the Garage Days 6×6 Paper Pad and a few of The Collectables plus some bits from my stash.

Punch the edge of your paper bag:

Stitch around the edge of the base shape:

Trim one of the edges so that it fits neatly into the gusset of the bag:

Layer up your ephemera till you’re happy with the look:

Stick everything down…mine moved a bit as I was gluing!

Finally tie some twine around the bag and punch a hole in one of The Collectables to use as a tag:

So simple, but so effective 🙂

A New Dad and Already Great!

Hello everybody, it’s Ali here with you to share a layout using the lovely new masculine collection Garage Days 🙂

This collection could have been made for my Son-In-Law…he is a new Dad…a petrol head…and loves to cycle! There are so many lovely icons and papers that it was hard to choose 🙂

I started off by inking through a stencil with Distress Inks – Salty Ocean, Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade. I also used a black pen to outline some of the shapes. I then cut some hexagons out of the 6×6 papers to add a bit of variety.

There are some fabulous rub ons in the collection, I adore the arrows. I found it hard not to stash them!

I made a faux Polaroid frame using one of The Collectables – don’t you just love that blue?

Tones 1

There are some fabulous stickers too! Cars, bikes, tyres as well as a cool alpha. I did two layers of the car sticker to give it a little more height.

Tones 2

Finally I couldn’t resist using one of the new Wood Flourishes – I am a sucker for these 🙂

Tones 3

I had a lot of fun making a manly layout. Thanks so much for popping in today,

Ali x
