In Full Bloom with Greenhouse

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing my last project for April featuring one of the latest Kaisercraft collections – Greenhouse (available at Merly Impressions’ online store).MI-In-full-blooom-web530To create the background I used the 12″ Agave pattern paper. I cut the paper in two and switch the top and the bottom part. To distress its edges I used a Paper Distresser. I adhered the two halves on top of a sheet of Kaisercard Frost Weave Cardstock using Kaisercraft 12mm Double-sided Tape.

To create the white dimensional pattern I used Kaisercraft Succulents 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste. Once the texture paste has dried, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold

I layered my picture on a slightly larger panel from Kaisercard Frost Weave Cardstock. Then I used pattern papers and pre-cut borders from the Paper Pad. I adhered all the different layers using Mounting Foam Tape.MI-In-full-blooom-det-b

To create the flower clusters around the picture, I used flower images from the Sticker book and fussy cut flowers from the Terrariums pattern paper, the Succulents pattern paper, the Rosette pattern paper and the Paper Pad – the glossy paper with 3D-succulents. I added some quotes and different shapes from the Collectables pack as well. I added die cut bubbles (using Kaisercard Frost Weave Cardstock and Decorative Die – Double Bubble) under some of the flowers. MI-In-full-blooom-det-c MI-In-full-blooom-det-d MI-In-full-blooom-det-e

For my title I used stripe-quotes from the Sticker bookI adhered them with Mounting Foam TapeMI-In-full-blooom-det-f

To decorate my page I used also pre cut iamges and shapes from the Paper Pad and the Collectables pack. I created the 3D-effect on the pattern of my background paper by adhering the same images from the Collectables pack on top of the pattern paper ones.  MI-In-full-blooom-det-gMI-In-full-blooom-det-hAs a final touch I added Rhinestones – Blue GreyMI-In-full-blooom-det-i

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Be Strong, Be Kind with Greenhouse

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing another project I created using the most amazing Kaisercraft collection – Greenhouse (available at Merly Impressions’ online store).MI-Be-kind-web530

For my background I used two different pattern papers –  Yucca pattern paper and Conservatory pattern paper. I cut 12 x 30 cm stripe from the Conservatory pattern paper and adhered it on top of the Yucca pattern paper. Before adhering the two papers together I distressed their edges using a Paper Distresser.

To create the white dimensional pattern I used Kaisercraft Succulents 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste. Once the texture paste has dried, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Rose GoldMI-Be-kind-det-aaTo create the layers under my picture I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad. I distressed their edges and adhered them to the background using Mounting Foam Tape.

For the baner under my picture I used stickers from the Sticker bookMI-Be-kind-det-bTo decorate my layout I used pre cut edges and shapes from the Paper Pad and the Collectables pack. Beautiful Life with Greenhouse

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today with my first project for April, featuring the wonderful Greenhouse collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions’ online store).MI-beautiful-life-web530To create my background I used the Jade Plant pattern paper. I cut the paper in two and distressed two of the edges using a Paper Distresser. Then I fussy cut the flower border from the Rosette pattern paper and added it next to flower pattern of the background paper. Once everything was in place, I added the extra dimensional white pattern using Kaisercraft Speckles Mini Designer Template and Texture PasteMI-beautiful-life-det-aWhen the texture paste has dried, I carefully separated part of the flowers and I tucked in a greenish pattern paper from the Paper Pad under them. I layered my picture on top. MI-beautiful-life-det-bMI-beautiful-life-det-hTo decorate my picture I used pre cut edges and shapes from the Paper Pad and the Collectables pack. I adhered the embellishments using Mounting Foam Tape.MI-beautiful-life-det-c MI-beautiful-life-det-d

I fussy cut the flowers from the Terrariums pattern paper, the Succulents pattern paper and the Paper Pad. I used a glossy pattern paper from the Paper Pad to create the 3D – succulents – they are perfect if you wish to give extra volume to your project. MI-beautiful-life-det-e MI-beautiful-life-det-f MI-beautiful-life-det-gFor the title and the sub-title I used stickers from the Sticker book. I adhered them on top of a die cut border (Texture Die – Diamonds and Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock) using Mounting Foam Tape.  MI-beautiful-life-det-i

As a final touch I added die cut butterflies and Pearls – Blush.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!

March 16th 2019 – Merly Crop & Layout kit preview

Hi Everyone,

There is just under a week to go until our March 16th 2019 Merly Crop, so here are the details of the crop and sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the kit. For the kit I have used papers from the beautiful  Greenhouse” Kaisercraft collection.

CollectionFan_Greenhouse

Also supplied in the kit are pale pink & pale green DMC thread, 3 x Kaiser card in pale green, pink & light blue, green rhinestones, and a circle template. For those buying the kit online after the crop – added die-cut butterflies, succulents & title. Also supplied are detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can create the two layouts that I have designed, at your own pace.

Below are some sneak peeks of the first layout which I’ve called “There is always something to be thankful for”

This layout features lots of beautiful fussy cut blue/green blooms, succulents, and foliage, punched butterflies in pale pink and green, I have distressed the paper edges and added colour coordinating hand stitching all over the layout. To finish off I’ve added scrunched up cotton & pearls to some of the centres of the succulents. My coloured photo (printed 3 times), measures 8.5cm wide x 10.5cm high. I have added a title to the bottom of my layout which came from one of the info strips on the papers.

Below are some sneak peeks of the second layout which I’ve called “Beautiful”

This layout features pretty punch around the page edges, hand stitching in pastel pink & green and lots of beautiful fussy cut succulents, cacti, blooms and a terrarium, I have also used the Kaisercraft coordinating die cut: Outline Succulent. Other elements on the layout are  pretty punched butterflies and ice green pearls. My coloured photo measures 13.5cm square – it is matted behind the inward circle layers.

Other items used on the layouts which you may want to bring are a paper edge distresser,  colour coordinating ink pads, I have used the Kaisercraft Petal Pink mini ink pad & the Kaisercraft Cotton Candy ink pad for inking around the edges. A needle for sewing (if you want to do it) foam pads and a small pair of scissors as there is some fussy cutting on both layouts. We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll, available to purchase in the on site Merly shop.

I have also used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool, the Kaisercraft Outline Succulents die a butterfly punch (large & small). A Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set. We will however bring these items to the crop for people to use and our other usual supply of tools including the Big Shot machine & a small selection of other punches and dies.
