Awesome using Unicorn Pad

Hello everyone, Denise here with my final layout using the lovely 12 x 12 Unicorn Pad.

IMG_2500RB

Having two little grand daughters, I’ve gone to town with the gorgeous pinks and lilacs in this pad.

I decided to make a heart themed page and made myself a small heart template. I then drew around these in pencil across one each of the stripy pages from the pads.

Taking thread in the same colours as the stripes, I stitched around the hearts.

12x12 Paper Pad - Unicorns

Taking the heart template I used from last week’s layout, I drew gently around the little hearts then stitched it.IMG_E2500

Once this was done, I used the template of the larger heart I cut out last time to draw lightly around the smaller ones. I then stitched around this.

I used two more papers from the Pad for backgrounds, cutting one down to 11.5 x 11.5 inches. I cut the stripy paper with the sewn hearts on down to 10.5 x 10.5 and placed n the other two papers.

I layered some papers from the pad behind the photo and placed it on the bottom right of the large heart.

To embellish the layout, I fussy cut lots of elements, unicorns, clouds, rainbows and the words ‘Awesome’ and ‘Celebrate’ which were raised up with foam tape.

Finally as a finishing touch, I doodled some elements to match the papers with one of the Kaisercraft Gel Pens and flicked some Kaisermist in Rose Gold.

Finally I dotted some Pink Rhinestones around.

I hope you have liked my creations using the Unicorn Pad and are inspired to give it a go !

Happy Crafting

Time for some Twinchies with Christmas Edition

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my third project using the gorgeous  Christmas Edition Kaisercraft Collection.071Something a bit different today, some Twinchies. I think they may become my new obsession!

These are really quick to put together and can be used on cards, or scrapbook layouts,or framed in a box frame.

twinchies-10-pack

They start life as little card squares. You can paint them or ink them to start then stamp straight on to them if you wish. I decided to cover them with some of the papers from the Christmas Edition Kaisercraft collection.

Paper Pack - Christmas Edition Collection

They are also great for using your scraps up if you have some.

I covered them with papers then used lots of different products to decorate them.

The three above were covered with papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, and decorated with die cuts from the Collectables.

These were also covered using papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, some of the Collectables, some Diamond Stickles, a wood flourish word ‘Joy’. I coloured the berries and poinsettias with a Kaisercolour Gel Pen.

Last but not least, I inked around all of them with some distress ink and doodled around the edges with a black Kaiserpen.

These were really fun to do, you can let your imagination loose and soon make a few !

Letters from Santa Scrapbook Layout

Good morning everyone.

Elaine here again bringing you a layout using the beautiful, traditional Letters From Santa newly released collection.

imageTo create this page I used the Poinsettia Garland sheet as my base and cut it down to a piece 11″ x 11″. I kept the 1″ strip for use later. I then mounted it on to a piece of gutted Be Merry paper. I then punched two sections along the edge of the first paper.

imageI then took a 6″ square of the Holly and Berries paper and mounted it centrally with the 1″ strip of the Poinsettia Garland paper that we saved earlier across the middle. I inked all the sections with the Vintage ink pad.

I then took a piece of Moss Weave Kaisercard and mounted all the photos. These were placed centrally and a further two at angles as shown. I then took the Holly embossing folder and used a section of the Moss Weave card and embossed it, cutting it into triangles to make the bunting that I then added to the top of the page. I followed the line of the printed garland with Cherry Red Cord and added the embossed triangles. I also inked the edges with the same Vintage ink pad. As a final flourish to the bunting I used a pen from the Kaisercolour Gel Pens to highlight some of the raised elements and added some Lippy Red Rhinestones in between each flag.

imageFor the cluster in the top right hand corner I used collectables from the Letters from Santa Collectables Pack and the Poinsettia Decorative Die for the large flower and leaves. I also used the gel pens to again highlight some of the raised features.

imageI used Deep Yellow Rhinestones for the centre of the Poinsettias at the top and bottom corners and I added a flourish of the Red Hemp Cord in the top cluster.

imageI finished with some more red rhinestones as berries on some the holly and a journalling tag from the collectables pack.

imageI loved looking back on my photos from last year to create this layout and this fabulous collection really did them justice. I look forward to seeing your layouts too.

imageEnjoy!

Gifts and Joy with Christmas Edition

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the new Christmas Edition Kaisercraft Collection.

006I feel so lucky to be working with these amazing collections that come out every month. They just keep getting better and better.

I started by using Coal paper as the base.

Next I used a Sew Easy Tool and Piercing Mat to pierce all around the edge of the speciality  Carol Notes Foil Paper, then stitched around with red floss using these perfect needles.

122Its very relaxing sewing around the edges! I distressed this and all the following papers around the edges.

Next, I matted my photo on to layers of papers from the 6.5 x 6.5  paper pad.

005I coloured in some of the berries on the die cuts from the Collectables Pack with Kaisercolour Gel pens

123125Across the middle I placed a sticker from the sticker sheet, i added some tiny yellow foam balls to add another small  splash of colour.

I used some flowers and stars from my stash to embellish the layout together with a tag and some die cuts from the collectables. The tag was attached with some gold twine.

005Thanks for visiting and I hope you love these collections as much as we do !

Dogs Rule with Pawfect

Hello everyone,

Denise here with something a little different this time, a heart shaped wall hanging using the lovely Pawfect Kaisercraft collection.

Photo 12-04-2017, 16 47 28I saw this heart wall art below  in the Merly Impressions shop and loved it so I decided to use it across two collections.

Beyond the Page - Large Heart Silhouette Wall Art

I took the heart out of the middle and am going to use the frame at a later date. ( watch this space !)

First off I drew around the heart using Puppy paper then covered the heart with it to give it a base.

Photo 12-04-2017, 09 53 33I then chose two other papers – the furry side of cats and the tan chevron side of Pawsome.

I cut these into two sections and covered the heart.

I used a polaroid type frame mounted on foam tape from the Collectables Pack to frame my photo.

Photo 12-04-2017, 16 47 28I used some elements from the Sticker Sheet to embellish the heart.

sticker-sheet-dog-pawfect-collection

Photo 12-04-2017, 14 51 59I loved the big paw so I mounted it onto a heart then used some of the smaller paws from the sticker sheet to dot around.

Photo 12-04-2017, 14 52 04Finally I cut one of the sayings from the journalling cards on the Ruff paper, inked around the edges with the very aptly named Bark Ink pad and added some Epoxy Stickers, then drew some faux stitches just inside the heart with the paw on with a  Kaisercolour Gel Pen.

I am really enjoying using this collection as my dogs are very precious to me and I don’t scrapbook them as often as I should really, so its given me a chance to !

Timeless Moments with Cottage Rose

Hello everyone,

Denise here again with another layout featuring the gorgeous Cottage Rose Collection.

058I wanted to make use of some of the many frames on one of the papers called ‘Framed’

framed-cottage-rose-collectionI started by using Ballet Weave Kaisercard as my base. I then took the  Garden paper, cut it down to 11.25 x 11.25 and placed it green side up on the pink card. Next I took the Fragrant paper, gutted the middle out leaving a roughly one inch frame all round but leaving the rose in the corner intact – cutting round that. This was mounted on foam tape and placed onto the green Garden paper.

Now for the frames. I decided on using  frames to look like they were pictures on a wall – using two photos . Firstly I placed the photos where I wanted them. I carefully cut the middle out from the larger pink frame removing the green wording then mounted this over my larger photo with foam tape. I then used the stone looking frame and cut the pink middle out. I placed my photo inside the frame then added the green frame on foam tape after cutting out the floral middle.

058 (2)Next I placed two of the smaller frames with floral insides either side of the frames with the photos in. Two more frames were layered on top of one another and placed in the middle overlapping the other frames.

058 - CopyNext, I used a rose and pink doily from the Collectables pack to decorate the top right corner. I also used two wordings and a lion head together with a key inside of the frames. Some Soft Pink Rhinestones were used as embellishments in the middle frame and inside the key. My title was cut from the wording from inside two of the frames.

055I also used the grey manufacturer’s strip with the words ‘ A moment lasts all of a second but the memory lives on forever’ from the Floral Bouquet paper along the bottom of the pink frame. Lastly, my journalling was written along the side of the frame using the gorgeous glittery black pen from the Kaiser Gel pen set.059 (2)This is a fabulous collection – it was really hard to decide which sides to use as they are all so lovely. Thanks for popping by and hope to see you back soon for some more inspiration from the team.

Thankful with Cottage Rose

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my first layout using the Cottage Rose Kaisercraft collection. This is one of my favourite collections from Kaisercraft – such beautiful colours with the muted greys and pinks.

059I started by using the pink and grey side of the Weatherboard  as the base of my layout. I cut the grey and white lacy manufacturer’s  strip from the bottom of  Wallpaper then stuck it along the top of the page.

I then cut a piece from the Quilt paper measuring 12″ x 6″ and placed this below the lacy strip. Next I cut a 2″ x 12″ strip from the black and white swirly side of the Crochet paper and placed it across the middle.

Now for some stamping. I decided to use one of the frames from the Framed paper. This particular paper is great as it has such a lot of frames of all sizes that can be used as they are or have the middles cut out to be used as frames for photos. For this one I decided to use  one of the larger ones and cut the middle out. I then took some Black Soot Distress Ink  and inked up the Memory Clear Stamp – firstly lots of light tapping over the stamp then I did a tester on a piece of scrap paper to make sure the coverage was good.

042040I always do this specially when I’m using a new stamp just to make sure  you won’t spoil the lovely paper you want to stamp on to.

Next to stamp over the frame044I then cut a strip 1/2″ deep  and 12″ wide from the Crochet paper pink side and stamped across it with the memory stamp and Black Soot Distress Ink 046Next I placed the narrow strip across the middle of the black and white crochet strip and the frame to the left of the crochet strip.

My photo was a 4 x 6 ” and was placed across the stamped frame.

Now it was time to embellish with lots of lovely die cut elements from the Collectables Pack

These were layered around my photo using foam tape – some of the leaves were highlighted with some Stickles 052I also die cut and layered some flowers using the Botanical Decorative Die to place on opposite sides of the layout using the Quilt paper.

060Finally some journalling to tell the story on the bottom right using one of the new Kaiser Gel Pens and some Rose Pearls dotted around and in the centre of the die cut flowers.

This is an amazing collection and I can’t wait to get started on another layout. I hope you’ve enjoyed this and thanks for visiting !
