Take Adventures with Magenta

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing a boyish project I created with the lovely Magenta Collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). I thought of making a black-and-white layout, but then I saw the red flowers and I couldn’t resist adding a bit of red colour. Luckily Kaisercraft have many additional colour-coordinating products, so I could choose from a wide range of embellishments. For my background I used Raspberry pattern paper and Rosa pattern paper. Using Collage 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste I created the white dimensional pattern. Then I cut a 16 x 30 cm stripe from the Rosa pattern paper, distressed its edges using a Paper Distresser and adhered it in the middle of the Raspberry paper.

Once everything was in place, I sprinkled Kaisermist Black on top.

I matted my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Coal Weave Cardstock. I added a layer of Cheesecloth Gauze under it and adhered it with Mounting Foam Tape to the pattern paper.

I stamped random design on the greyish pattern paper using KaiserInk Pad – Licorice and Decorative Tape Pieces Clear Stamp. Then I stamped the flower cluster from the Clear Stamp set Blessed onto a light grey pattern paper from the Paper Pad. Once the ink has dried I fussy cut the flowers, embossed them slightly and arranged them around my picture as shown. I added also fussy cut flowers from Pink pattern paper and from the Collectables pack. The 3D red blossoms I fussy cut from a pattern paper from the Paper Pad and then I adhered them with Mounting Foam Tape on top of the stamped flowers.

Using Kaisercard Crimson Weave Cardstock, Kaisercard Coal Weave Cardstock, a hearts die and Kaisercraft Decorative Dies (Texture Diamonds) I die cut the red and black cardstock texture embellishments. For my title I used a cut-off stipe from one of the 12″ pattern papers. To adhere my title I used Mounting Foam Tape.

As a final touch I added Epoxy Stickers – Sea Breeze and Rhinestones – Black.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!
Have a wonderful creative week and stay safe!

Treasured Friend with Magenta

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing my last project for August featuring the wonderful Magenta Collection from Kaisercraft’s July release  (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). This week I created a boyish layout showing how by changing one colour in a collection, you can give a completely different look and feel to your projects. MI-treasured-friend-web-530For my background I used Kaisercard Caribbean Weave Cardstock and pattern papers. I cut two 7 x 29 cm stripes from the Rosa pattern paper, distressed their edges using a Paper Distresser and adhered them at the top and at the bottom of the cardstock (Kaisercraft 12mm Double-sided Tape). The I took two black paged from the Paper Pad, adjusted their size to fit in the middle, distressed their edges and adhered them on top of the cardstock.

Then, using Distressed Dots 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste I created the white dimensional pattern. MI-treasured-friend-det-a530I matted my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock. The I used pattern paper stripes and die cut edges from the Paper Pad to create the layers under it. MI-treasured-friend-det-bTo decorate my page I carefully selected black and white pre-cut embellishments from the Collectables pack and black and white fussy cut flowers from the Pink pattern paper. Using Kaisercard Caribbean Weave Cardstock and Kaisercraft decorative dies (Double Bubble, Geo tags and Treasured Words) I die cut the greenish embellishments and the words for my title. To adhere the different embellishments I used Mounting Foam TapeMI-treasured-friend-det-c MI-treasured-friend-det-d MI-treasured-friend-det-e MI-treasured-friend-det-fAs a final touch I added Epoxy Stickers – Sea Breeze and Rhinestones – Black.MI-treasured-friend-det-gI hope you enjoyed today’s post!
