Making Memories with Anthology

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my second layout using the Anthology Kaisercraft  Collection.

I used a sheet of Sage Kaisercard as the background of my layout, I then cut a piece from the script side of Apothecary measuring 8″ deep by 12″ wide and with the Filmstrip mini stencil, applied some Texture Paste through it on to the paper.

After the texture paste was dry I flicked some Turquoise Kaisermist over it and onto the paper.

Next, I cut two strips measuring 1″ x 12″  from the Botanist paper  and using the floral side punched down one long edge. I then cut two strips  using the green side of just over one inch. These were then joined together to make them up to  12 x 12 size.

Once these were all joined I neatened the sides up by cutting equal amounts off and mounted this on to the Sage card.

I used one of the sheets- the plain side of Plumology  to die cut some flowers and a circular film reel with dies from my stash, I then used these to embellish around my layout. Most were raised up using foam tape for dimension.

Some of the die cuts from the Collectables pack were used over the layout too, one as my title on the top right hand side.

I also fussy cut some of the little butterflies and cream flowers from papers in the 6×6 pad and mounted them onto foam tape.

Finally I flicked some tiny bits of white paint over the whole layout .

I hope you are enjoying the projects from the team and we will be back very soon with some more inspiration.

Memories Documented with Anthology

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my first layout using the Anthology Kaisercraft Collection.

This collection is beautiful, I love the way it is botanical but also has an old fashioned vintage look to it. As soon as I saw the map and nautical elements I knew I wanted to use a photo of my dad when he was in the navy.

I decided to use the Ornithology paper as the background to my layout and also decided to leave the strip at the bottom with the wording. I was sent a lovely Filmstrip stencil to use so I Inked  through it down one side of the layout with Bark brown ink. I gutted the paper so there was an approximate 8 inch square to use for matting my photo and also to make a banner.

After this, I took the paper with the map on and cut it out, then mounted it on to the background after distressing the edges with a Paper Distresser.

The compass at the bottom looks almost 3 dimensional.

Once this was done I matted my photo with the paper I had gutted from the middle and added the banner, I only adhered three sides of the mat as I wanted to tuck  some of the Collectables die cuts inside  for my journalling.

I tore a triangle roughly on the edge of the map then tucked some of the collectables underneath it.

Finally I added some Crystal Laquer to the compass and watch faces around the photo and added some journalling to the bottom and used Memories Documented from the Sticker Sheet as my title .

I really did enjoy making this layout and can’t wait to use some more of it.
