Christmas Joy with Sparkle

Hello,

Karen here with the second of my projects using the Sparkle collection and this one couldn’t be more sparkly.  I have used a photo of my dog Kiera who really loves Christmas.  She adores to open presents and if you don’t watch her she will open them all and not just hers!

c

I started with a sheet of very glittery Blush Glitter Cardstock, which I gutted a 1.5 inch frame.  To this I added a piece of Coconut Weave Cardstock, trimmed to slightly larger than 10.5 ins square.

I then added strips of printed tape between the stripes of glitter on a piece of Vavacity paper which I then cut to 10.5 ins square.

a

I used a piece of  Blush Glitter Cardstock, measuring 8ins x 6ins as the base of my photo mat. I added a piece of Coconut Weave Cardstock – 7.5 x 5.5 and to the top of this I added a piece of Auroral cut to slightly smaller than 7.5 x 5.5.  I used mounting foam pads to attach the white card to the sparkle card and my photo to the Auroral paper.  I used more mounting foam pads to attach the whole stack to my page making sure that I had room at both edges to tuck elements underneath.

e

Next I added a small doily (from my own supplies) at the bottom left corner and the bottom right edge. I arranged flowers cut from Glint and flower stickers from the Sticker Pad to each side of my photograph, tucking some under each of the layers.

f

I cut one of the scalloped borders from the 6.5 x 6.5 pad in two and placed at the bottom left and top right of my photo stack.

I painted two of the trees from the flourish pack rose gold and added them to the bottom right of my page along with three trees from the Collectables.

b

I used stickers, also from the Sticker Pad as my title and at the top right of my photo along with three Champange rhinestones either side of the sticker.

d

The final touch was to cut the ‘Spreading Christmas Cheer’ sticker (from the sticker sheet) into three and back with a piece of Illuminate paper and to add to the top of my page.

So there we have my second project using this gorgeous range and I have almost finished my third which I can’t wait to show you!

Love and Joy with Glisten

Hello all,

Denise here with another layout using the fabulous Glisten Kaisercraft Collection.

002aI started off by using two papers, which I cut in half horizontally, Glittering Foil Paper and Crystal Glitter Paper. I placed a manufacturer’s strip across the middle to cover the join.073Next I cut the star out that was on the second half of the Glittering Foil Paper then mounted it onto foam pads to decoupage on top of the original.

078I cut a square from the back of the glittery dots paper and some rectangles from other papers – Sparkling Foil, Glimmer Foil, these were layered up as mats for the photo . I then fussy cut the tree from the Glimmer Foil Paper which I raised and layered up onto foam tape and placed to the right of the papers.

080I used lots of die cuts from the Collectables Pack to embellish all around the layout

093

008

006

009These were all layered up with foam tape .

I die cut some flowers and foliage from the papers and used one of the blooms from Honey Paper Blooms pack.

005Thank you for visiting and do pop back for some more inspiration soon.

Silly Selfies! with Fly Free

Hi Everyone,

Linda here with my last layout using the vibrant Fly Free collection from Kaisercraft. I’ve had a lot of fun with this paper pack and accessories and this time I’ve focused on the Collectables and the fabulous new gel & sparkle pens.IMG_0939 smallSo, I began with a sheet of Coconut Kaisercard, an absolute staple, and added a strip of Gal Pal from the paper pack measuring 13 x 29 cm which I faux stitched with a black glitter pen, to the left hand side. You can see the shimmer in the photo below, they are delicious!.

IMG_0922 smallMy photo’s were printed as a photo-strip using an app on my phone called Mphotobooth but you could always use small photos and mount them onto white card. I added a matt of Coconut Kaisercard and “stitched” this edge too.

IMG_0943 smallOnce placed onto the Gal Pal, I added other strips of paper  15 x 4 cm from the paper pack to the right. I doodled around the inside and outside edges of these using a combination of patterns using the fabulous pens in a variety of colours. To be honest, photographs do not do them any justice – trust me!

IMG_0925 smallThere are some lovely elements in the Collectables and I found these banners with fun sentiments which, after more “stitching” I added to the strips, raised using mounting tape.

IMG_0942 smallI trimmed a couple of flowers from the Collectables too and stuck them top and bottom, followed by some beautiful butterflies which have been shaped with wings raised using the mounting tape too. A little sparkle was added with the glitter pens.

IMG_0944 smallThe Collectables pack has lots of gorgeous butterflies so more were added to the left of the photo too.

IMG_0940 smallAnd of course beautiful blooms and leaves which I shaped and placed along the bottom.

IMG_0941 smallTo finish I ran another line of “stitching” all around the edge of the page and a copious amount of Hot Pink Rhinestones.

Thank-you for taking the time to read – lots more exciting things to come next month so don’t forget to check back in a couple of days!

Until then, take care,

~ Linda ~

Happy – Fly Free

HI everyone,

Linda here with another layout using the Fly Free paper pack.  These are so useful as I always want to use both sides of the same paper!
IMG_0876 smallI began with a 20.5cm strip from the bottom of Partner and 2 x 7cm strips of Gal Pal, these were attached top and bottom to create the 12″ square page – I always use my mat as a size guide but you can mount it onto 12×12″ card if preferred.

IMG_0881 smalEither side of the panel I added sentences from the Sticker Sheet which also comes in the paper pack making it great value for money.  All edges have been inked with Distress Ink. I then added my photo 10×11.cm with a matt of Gal Pal to the left hand side.

To create the journalling, I drew some lines in lightly with a pencil and ruler for a guide then chose a few colours from the Kaisercolour pen set – this is a beautiful rainbow of both gel and glitter pens that write & colour beautifully – and wrote either side of my photo.  Once fully dried – I left mine for a while to ensure it didn’t smudge – I erased the pencil marks.

IMG_0841 smallAnother advantage of the paper pack is being able to decoupage elements, so a lot of fussy cutting took place cutting out lots of the flowers and butterflies which I glittered using the Kaisercolour glitter pens – you can see above and below how well these work to add accents.

IMG_0842 smallThe elements were all then shaped and layered onto the page using mounting foam tape for dimension – again a very versatile product as it can be cut into smaller pieces to fit.

IMG_0877 smallOf course the little flowers needed to have sparkly centres so I used Hot Pink Rhinestones. You can see the dimension created above and below too. The roses above were shaped with a bone folder.

IMG_0878 smallI cut out more elements from the paper sheet and added them to the top of the page too and added a small sentiment from the Collectables pack.

IMG_0880 smallTo finish the page, I cut out the word “happy” from Bestie which I trimmed and embellished with a glitter pen from the Kaisercolour pen set and stuck across the bottom of the photograph.

Thank-you for taking the time to read this, please check  back later in the week for more creations from our lovely team.

Until then, take care,

~ Linda ~
