Hooray layout and BTP project with Party Time

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here and I’ve got a new project to share with you today. As you may know this month I’m designing with the Party Time collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). It is the perfect collection for all the birthday pictures from my kids.MI-Hooray-web-530To create my background I used two pattern papers (Fireworks and Streamers) and Kaisercard Powder Blue Weave Cardstock. Once everything was glued in place, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Orange on top of all layers. MI-hooray-det-a (1)To hide the “stitch” between the two papers, I used a swirly border from the Sticker Sheet.

MI-hooray-det-a (6)I fussy cut the banners next to the picture from the cut off strips from different pattern papers, curled their edges and adhered them using Mounting Foam Tape. MI-hooray-det-a (4)The picture with balloons is from Carousel pattern paper and the second layer of title is fussy cut from Hooray pattern paper.MI-hooray-det-a (7)For the Party time banner I used the quote from Streamers patter paper, which I framed with die cut stripes (Decorative Die – Ornate Charm) and one candle (Collectables pack), because Theo was turning one. MI-hooray-det-a (5)To finish off my layout I added a few more fun quotes and Rhinestones – Black. MI-hooray-det-a (3) MI-hooray-det-a (2)And today I’ve got an extra project to share with you. Using the Party Time collection, I altered a Beyond the Page – Mini Tall Boy storage solution from Kaisercraft. DSC06737Here is a detailed list with all the different products used to dress up this little cutie:

A trio of Party Time cards

Today I’m bringing you three very different cards yet all made using the versatile Party Time Kaisercraft collection.

imageFirstly I made this twist and pop card here for a male birthday.

imageI was inspired by this tutorial here on the Kaisercraft blog from their talented design team member Colette Mitegra. She gives a wonderful description of how to make it so do pop over and have a look!

I used the Confetti paper from the collection for the inside (using Kaisercard Duck Egg For the base) and the embossing folder for the outside and I used the hemp cord for a finishing touch along with the emojis from the sticker sheet, the banner and bunting from the collectables pack and some Sunshine epoxy stickers.

To finish it off inside I used some sayings cut from the Hooray sheet and more stickers and some collectables from the Party Time pack.

I was also inspired to create one using the same method, using the gorgeous Glisten collection that we shared with you last month.

fullsizerender-73 fullsizerender-74To show how versatile the Party Time collection is I used the 6″ paper pad to create this card too.

imageIt is a simple Z card fold..(easily found in You Tube) and I added lots of elements from the sticker sheet and the collectables pack set on white card embossed with the embossing folder . Perfect for a child don’t you think?

Finally I made this card using the pleat fold method (also easily found on You Tube) for the females in your life.

imageI used the embossed party time paper from the 6″ pad mounted on White Kaisercard and folded the Cotton Candy paper to create the folded central piece..(you need double sided paper for this) . I used the die cut scalloped border from the 6″ pad and added the sentiment from the collectables pack and the two die cut roses from the pack to finish it off.

It is rare to find a pack so adaptable for so many occasions so this collection has gone straight to the top of my favourites list!

Have fun!

A Day To Remember with Party Time

Good morning everyone,

Denise here with my final layout using thelovely  Party Time Kaisercraft Collection.

photo-20-12-2016-09-12-24-2I started by using a sheet of Coconut Kaisercard as my base. I then selected some of the sheets which are all really colourful – Carousel, Hooray, Streamers and Fireworks papers.

photo-19-12-2016-19-46-05I then cut seven strips of  the papers into 2 x 12 inch strips.

photo-19-12-2016-19-51-21Next I punched down one long side of each strip with a pretty doily edge punch.

photo-19-12-2016-20-09-26I laid them across the the card base to decide their order.

photo-19-12-2016-20-12-38I then added foam tape to just the punched edge on each strip to raise the edge from the card.

photo-19-12-2016-20-33-42These were then layered on top of each other to half way up the base. I used a  wording sticker from the sticker sheet across the middle.

photo-20-12-2016-09-26-54I then added my photos which were matted on to 100s and 1000s paper and placed in the middle of the layout. Next I mounted some banners from the sticker sheet underneath the photos. I also used some die cuts from the Collectables as embellishments across the frilled strips and at the top of the layout.

Words cut from the sticker sheet and mounted on foam tape were used as my title and some Epoxy Star Stickers in Sea Breeze were used to embellish.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects from everyone, Merry Christmas from me and there will be more inspiration from the team very soon.

Celebrate with Party Time!

Today I’m bringing you a mixed media scrapbook layout using the pretty Party Time  Kaisercraft collection .

Using the Double Scoop paper from the Party Time collection, I  created a mixed media background by dry brushing Dina Wakely gesso and adding Ranger’s modelling paste similar to the Tim Holtz layering stencil. I then added Kaisermists Antique gold, White and Winter Grey with some additional Tattered Angel shimmer mist and edged the whole page with a Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap inkpad. I then used the Festive Quarters stencil with another Tim Holtz ink pad, Peeled Paint to create the pattern on the right.

Using the same ink pads I used the Kaisercraft ‘Crackle’ and ‘Flutter’ stamps and randomly stamped them over the misting and the strips of paper from the Party Time 6″ paper pad. I also used the Party Time embossing folder on some Kaisercard smooth White card stock and punched some circles and some strips too.

imageI then layered some of the hessian from the burlap roll in the lucky dip range beneath the photo. I matted the photo (of my Daughter in Law as a bridesmaid – 2nd left) on more of the white Kaisercard and embellished it with KC paper blooms, more flowers and KC wooden flourish bows that I inked with the KC Red Gum ink pad.

Using the Party Time sticker sheet I added the hearts, chevrons and zig zags and I used a few of the elements from the collectables pack including the ‘Smile’ title together with the ‘Celebrate’ sub-title that I cut from the Hooray sheet from the collection. I also punched some of the circle words from the Confetti 12″ sheet.

Cropped imageTo highlight the modelling paste I used the Kaisercraft Gel Pens to edge the raised parts and then to finish it all off. (I can’t tell you how much I love these pens..you should pop some on your Christmas wish list now!) Finally I added some coordinating buttons, pearls and Kaisercraft Sunshine epoxy stickers.

When I first looked at this collection I thought that it leant itself to birthday celebrations yet both of the layouts I have created with the collection have not been birthday related..it just goes to show how versatile it is!

Party Time Cards

Hello everyone,

Denise here with some cards using the pretty Party Time Kaisercraft Collection

photo-11-12-2016-13-25-05-22This collection is ideal for not only scrapbooking your celebrations but also for making some cards. The first card I made was a birthday card using a square card, I folded the front side in half and back on itself to create a different shaped card.

I covered the base of both sides with papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad then matted an ice cream cone paper from the pad onto this.

I used a punch to create a decorative element across the middle of the card. Next I took a  birthday candles strip from the Sticker Sheet  and added it across the top of the punched strip.

I used a Happy Birthday die cut element from the Collectables Pack as my main image and also added some onto the card as embellishments – these were all mounted using foam tape. Some Sea Breeze Star Epoxy Stickers were also used to embellish the card.

The Second Card photo-11-12-2016-13-25-38-2This was using papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad again. I decided to go pink and florally on this one and use it as an invitation card. The papers were cut into rectangles then I snipped some frills into the edges to add some texture. I had such a lovely time snipping away ! I inked around the edges of the card with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, then added some twine . I finished off with a bloom which was enhanced with a Kaiser Pastel gel pen .

The last card I decided to make as an easel card photo-11-12-2016-13-26-25-2I used papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad again for this one. I used 6 x 6 cards for this. Firstly I matted and layered papers onto the card, then as before used some die cut elements from the Collectables Pack as embellishments, adding some twine again as the strings for the balloon. Again I used some Epoxy Stickers to embellish the card.

I had lots of fun making these cards especially as there are so many papers in the 6.5 x 6.5 pad  you have lots of choice. Please do pop back for more inspiration from the team very soon.

Party Time with circles die cut paper.

Today I have the pleasure in bringing you my layout using part of the Circles die cut paper from the Party Time Kaisercraft collection.

A walk in the parkAs soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to inset my photos within the circles (although of course it would make a lovely background mat too). I then set about choosing my series of photos (of my dogs, husband and my dear grand daughter Amber). The photos were taken back in the summer so I knew I wanted a nice summery background. The obvious choice was the fabulous reverse side of the 100s and 1000s paper from the Party Time collection pack with pretty bunting and clouds.

I then used more of the collection to fill in the remaining circles  and added punched circles from the confetti paper too. I then added elements from the collectables pack together with a few strips from the collection too. I finished with a few co-ordinating buttons and journaled on the banner from the collectables pack with the metallic gel pens that I love so much.. I use them ALL the time!

imageWhat a lovely way to use several photos!

Let’s Celebrate with Party Time

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the lovely new Kaisercraft collection Party Time.

photo-02-12-2016-09-16-26It’s a gorgeous  vibrant colourful collection that is perfect for your celebration layouts.

I decided to make a layout with lots of different papers layered, using photos from my first hen night I went to last year for my now daughter in law.

I started off using Double Scoop paper as the base for the layout. I then used the Sew Easy Tool to make a wavy line at each side on the Fairy Bread paper.photo-13-11-2016-12-24-22photo-13-11-2016-12-24-14These are great for adding extra detail to your layouts.

Next I took Confetti and,100s and 1000s papers, cut them into rectangles and strips and laid them out and weaved some of them on the base to use as bases for my photos.

I matted my three photos onto the papers and placed them diagonally across the page.

Next, I used some elements from the sticker sheet to embellish the page.

sticker-sheet-party-time-collectionI used two hearts and some wording mounted on to foam tape from the sticker sheet.

I also used some twisted colour twine which was adhered across some bunting from the sticker sheet along the bottom of one of the photographs.

photo-02-12-2016-09-38-40I hope you have enjoyed this layout. It was fun to put together and shows how you can make a layout with some great papers, stickers, scissors, glue and some foam pads, with a little bit of sewing on the sides ! Please do pop back for some more inspiration from the team soon.
