Under the Tree with Peppermint Kisses

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing another layout I’ve created using the most adorable Christmas collection – Peppermint Kisses – from Kaisercraft’s September release (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). MI-under-the-tree-web530For my background I used two 12″ pattern papers – Combi Christmas and Holly Jolly. I cut 15 x 30.5 cm panels from both pattern papers and adhered them on top of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock. To hide the “stitch” between the pattern papers, I used the cut-off stirpe from Santa and Co pattern paper.

For the sarklong red stars I used glitter paste and Scattered Stars 6×6 Designer Stencil. Once  the glitter paste has dried, I sprayed some KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top. MI-under-the-tree-det-a530 MI-under-the-tree-det-b

To decorate my picture I used a lot of different embellishments. I added pre-cut shapes from the Collectables pack and the Paper PadMI-under-the-tree-det-c MI-under-the-tree-det-d

… fussy cut images from Santa and Co pattern paper and stickers from the Sticker BookMI-under-the-tree-det-e MI-under-the-tree-det-f

I used Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock and Decorative Die – Texture Burlap to lighten the background behind the large Christmas tree and the Nutcracker (Santa and Co pattern paper). Then I added a smaller Christmas tree from the Flourish Pack matching the collection. MI-under-the-tree-det-gThe cute little Christmas bell button comes from the Curios pack and I added also extra rhinestones to decorate my embellishments (Rhinestones – Island LagoonRhinestones – Deep Yellow and Rhinestones – Red). MI-under-the-tree-det-h MI-under-the-tree-det-i

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a wonderful creative week!

‘Tis The Season with Peppermint Kisses

Hi everyone, Denise here with my last post using the Peppermint Kisses CollectionIMG_2799RB

I started with a sheet of Snow Weave cardstock. Next I used some green strips from the Fun and Festive paper along the top and bottom of the white card.

After this I cut out the zig zag and stripey strips from the HoHoHo paper and layered above the green strips at the top and bottom .

Once this was done, I took some Rose Gold Kaisermist and flicked across the white.IMG_2791

Next, I cut three journal cards from the Under the Tree paper then placed across the middle without sticking down to see how I wanted them to look.

I fussy cut some Christmas trees from the papers and the Paper Pad and placed where I wanted them under the journal cards.

Once I was happy, I mounted my photo on to a piece of the green paper from Fun and Festive paper and adhered them all down across the middle.IMG_2799R

Next, I added lots of little die cuts from the Collectables Pack and the Sticker Book across the bottom, some mounted on to foam tape and some flat.

To finish off, I added gems onto the trees.

This has been a brilliant collection to work with  and I hope you are inspired to use it too !

Christmas Cards with Peppermint Kisses

Hello Kaisercraft fans,

Emmy here today sharing my second project for October. With Christmas only two months away, I decided that it is time to begin with my Christmas cards. And what better collection to do so than Kaisercraft’s Peppermint Kisses collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). MI-christmas-cards-web530MI-christmas-cards-det-a MI-christmas-cards-det-b MI-christmas-cards-det-cFor my card bases I used Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock and Kaisercard Crimson Weave Cardstock. I hand-cut the card bases, so they would fit my design. The pattern paper panels on top I cut from pattern papers from the Paper Pad. I gave one of my cards a lacey edge using an edge punch and I stamped on the pattern paper panels of two of my cards using Kaisercraft Tiny Dot clear stamp and Ink Pad – Bark. To adhere all the different layers together, I used Mounting Foam Tape and Mounting Foam DotsMI-christmas-cards-det-d MI-christmas-cards-det-e MI-christmas-cards-det-f

To create my designs I used fussy cut images from the Paper Pad, pre-cut embellishments from the Collectables pack and stickers from the Sticker BookMI-christmas-cards-det-g MI-christmas-cards-det-h MI-christmas-cards-det-i MI-christmas-cards-det-jI also added some die-cut embellishments using Kaisercard Crimson Weave Cardstock and Kaisercraft Decorative Die – Texture Diamonds. MI-christmas-cards-det-kAs a final touch I added Rhinestones – Deep Yellow and Rhinestones – Red and I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top of all layers. MI-christmas-cards-det-l MI-christmas-cards-det-m MI-christmas-cards-det-n MI-christmas-cards-det-o

Merry Christmas with Peppermint Kisses

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my second layout using the lovely Peppermint Kisses Collection IMG_2797 R2B2

In this layout I am focusing on using the Collectables Pack . I love these little packs of die cuts, they are usually the first thing I go to when receiving my box to work with. I love to open the pack and look through them all to see what I can do with them.

I started with a 12 x 12 paper called Minty for my base, then cut down a sheet of Wrapped Up paper next.IMG_2784I painted  a Christmas Tree and a Merry Christmas sentiment from the Wooden Flourishes Pack and left them to dry .

Next i decided on my photo then matted it onto some paper from the Paper Pad and some Crimson Weave Cardstock

I decided to place my photo on the left side of the layout, then decorated around it with lots of die cuts and the wood flourishes.IMG_2797IMG_2797 RBIMG_2785

The die cuts from the Collectables were raised up on Foam Tape to add dimension .

I drew some little dots above the baubles to look like they were hanging down.

Finally I used some of the Curios to decorate in between the die cuts.IMG_2797 R2

I hope you have enjoyed this, I’m loving working with this collection.

Happy scrapping !

Cards with Peppermint Kisses

Hi everyone Denise here with three cards using the absolutely gorgeous Peppermint Kisses collection.MERLY DT 2 collageR B

This is a really great collection for Christmas, with vibrant colours, my brief was to make three cards, so I decided to make three 6 x 6 cards.

I took three scallopped 6 x 6 cards from my stash to start with.

For all three cards, I used  mainly papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad to make the backgrounds and die cuts from the Collectables Pack.

I switched the colourways and designs of the cards.

For the first one, I used Crimson Kaisercard as the base, then cut four squares of the same size and adhered them on to the front of the card. I mounted some Collectables on to Foam Tape on to the front and added a few Red Rhinestones.

For my second card, I folded the front in half to add interest, I then used the Crimson Card as the base again, then used papers from the Paper Pad and Collectables again.

My third card was again using papers from the  the Paper Pad. I used three different papers and layered them on to the front of the  card, then used Die Cuts again from the Collectables and Rhinestones to decorate.

These cards are quick to make and very effective, with the amount of papers in the pad and collectables in the pack, you could really make a lot of cards ready for the festive season . I hope you like them and are inspired to make some!

Happy Crafting
